| Not suprised that he's gone as the board felt that the performance was unacceptable under any circumstances and also they didn't want the go into next season with the defeat hangng over them with no reaction from the board.
I think the Cats match took a lot out of a lot of players both mentally and physically and the CCF appearance was a negative given the way the team played and the lack of spark.

They need fuel, oxygen, heat plus an ignition source.
remove or dampen one and the others dont work or fade out
Quite a mix that does describe the different areas of our club and fanbase

| Surely Radford wants to succeed so that he keeps coaching Hull and keep employment, thus meaning he picks the best team?

Hes a champion, true pro and in reality only 1 player in that squad, maybe 3 or 4 have played against McDermott but its not the same as to what we have.
A lot go on about Wane and Paul Anderson, Wane wont have played with any of his team and cant think of many that would have been with Anderson too (Fielden, Ferres and Kpozcak at a push?)

Your far too sensible. Where's the conspiracy talking points in that.

I can think of at least one. Not saying he's a problem. In fact I was on about all areas of the club.

I'd liken us more to Liverpool and Everton

Lots of people in life want to succeed but it's things like judgement when there's not an easy option that sort out those that do succeed and those that don't plus in this case experience , basic rugby and man management skills and a fair bit of luck.

| Cannot help but feel a little bit sad that Gentle has gone, although not as successful as we would have hoped he has bought a lot of good to the club with regards to youth.

| I think we've lost far more than we look to be gaining from the alleged changes. A very sad day for our club and one that is going to cost a lot of lost revenue.

This is something I've said for a few seasons now. FC are a "big club" in terms of stadium and a top 3/4 standing in the crowd averages but apart from 2 cup final and 1 grand final appearances haven't won anything since 2005. If you were regularly getting to cup semis/finals etc then you could be classed as a big team.
Before every season starts you can put money on wigan, wire, leeds and usually saints being at the business end of winning things but not you.
To expect a 'Big' name coach to want to come to the 'Big' FC is ludicrous. People like Sheens, Hasler, Bennett only work in a winning environment where a tweaking is all that's needed to keep the steamroller going. They wont want a start from scratch job where the squad needs a major overhaul. Besides nobody in this country could afford them anyway.
I think most supporters from both clubs would agree FC are a bigger club then Rovers but, a final or 2 aside are no better on the field. We will never be a bigger club then you but will always strive to be a better one.

I don't think Rovers have got anything to do with it but since you raise it, Hull FC are and always will be bigger and better than Hull KR.

Can't argue with much there. That's depressing...

As Blakey said that is the whole problem, deep down you believe that but facts will show that over the last 8 years our on field performances have been very alike with a number of years in the middle where we were a fair bit better.
You are the Newcastle Utd of RL a big club in your own minds..
