The game is about punching people in the head?

It was as good an example of a send off high tackle as you get.
Both heading same direction, started across the face down to the neck, the arm was swung and was a fair way out so a simple mid section tackle would have done the job.
Not sure what would class as a more straight forward red. Front on you can argue footwork, balance, timing off etc.
Of all refs to bottle it I wouldn't have thought Ganson

The thing I disagree with in this situation is the general unfairness!!
The ban suggests that it should have been a red card. This potentially changes the game, and the result, on Friday. Now he's been banned for 2 games and Hull FC see no benefit of this. In fact, Sts and Huddersfield reap the benefit of our misfortune!!

I know there really isn't a fair way to do it but surely he should be banned for 1 game and/or the next game vs us. Players should fulfill their bans against the team they offended against IMO!

Why should other teams benefit?

I suppose what goes around and we will benefit from a similar situation in the future.

What is really annoying is Ganson's record at sending our players off for lesser incidents.

Thats two Derby matches hes come up with costly decisions in their favour.

I remember Ganson couldn't get his red card out quick enough to send off Jason Smith.

A malicious tackle by a malicious player, who as I said the other day, has previous form for this sort of thing and no doubt will do it again. He should have received more.

So, what offence did Horne commit for him to be sin binned?

I rest my case.

Quote: Staffs FC "Got off lightly with 2 games.'"

He got the maximum sanction for the grade of offence. Rather than reckless, it did seem to be intentional, it takes some doing for a 5' 9" tall player to slap a 6' 3" player around the chops without some degree of intent.

But reckless was the charge and although we gain no benefit from his suspension, that's the way it has always been and always will be. My only surprise is that Ganson didn't dismiss Burns. Think back to Moa's dismissal against London, the ref then was about to award a scrum with head & feed to us before he got a shout from the VR. It was only after the VR intervention that Moa even came close to a red card
