One thing's for sure nobody could doubt the commitment of your boys tonight.

Quite an absorbing contest in which Hull played a full part.

Even so Huddersfield didn't need to play all that well to win. Hull scored 4 points all night plus the fluke when Horne tried to kick the ball and it came off his thigh.

Hull must find a cutting edge or all the effort in the world will be to no avail.

Our attack has barely improved over the last eight years or so. We have a little bit more flair under Gentle but nothing to write home about.
A change of personnel over the years but still no great improvement in attack, why?
Yes we're seriously missing another creative half to partner DJ. But I still don't think it'd be enough to make a huge difference. Our two first choice centres aren't skilful only Crooks can claim to be skillfull with ball in hand. Still slow at getting the ball out wide and look lost most of the time with a lack of runners.

Hudds played well, only 2 mistakes, kicked well and defence was excellent.

Hull apart from a couple poor defensive errors reduced hudds attacking threat.

You really need to ask?

Very fair summary. Clearly a fit Holdsworth and Heremaia would help, but the issue is that our forwards and defensive efforts set a platform but lack of structure and runners in attack, regardless of who wears the pivot shirts, reduces our options from limited to almost zero. Our biggest threats seem to be Briscoe and Lineham running the ball off their own 20.

We've had some really good halves over the years. Dykes, Head, Long (although he barely played) but we've always played the same since 2006.
So surely it's not that simple is it. Can't be just down to the halves. Our structure has hardly changed, too one directional still and have no optional runners except the runner who's going to be recieving the ball.

No, Galea was bludging at marker, it was his man. Infact Galea's defence throughout was soft and was slow off the ground.

Bang on. We're still playing the same boring attacking Rugby we played under Agar.

We have no spark, the only glimpses of it come from our two wingers. Why aren't we offloading anymore? We have absolutely no pace, so everything is done slowly.

The marker should be belting the dummy half there if I'm honest

We attack differently but our executions poor.

We have a very attack minded back 3 but never get them good ball.

We were not robbed. We played well, but have zero threat in the 20. As per last 5 seasons. We are therefore average as usual.

Great effort, good performances, but not good enough in attack. We should have won, with the possession we had.
