| Quote: east hull FC fan "So Westerman gets shot for being below par, in only his fourth game back fom injury, while other players get away with it. What a joke.
Lynch - poor
Tickle - poor
Manu - Poor
O'Carroll - poor
Turner - poor
Briscoe - poor
No one was complaining when he was ripping it up down the right hand channel last year though. For the rest of the year he and Whiting should be at 6 (as per Leeds game as the extra 2nd row) or 13, with Horne at FB.'"
Always takes time on return from a long injury to find form and get match fitness, Westerman doesn't suddenly become a bad player. The only frustrating thing is the amount of penalties he is giving away but I think that is down to how aggressive he is being. I noticed in the magic game he was screaming and shouting at the players when the scrum was formed with 2 mins to go and he was flying into tackles and putting some big shots in. Fine line sometimes between agression and indiscipline. He also maybe tyring a little too hard.

His attitude towards the club is shocking, i'd get rid now...in fact I have started the ball rolling by removing him from my avatar.

Didn't he cost us a last gasp victory by going for glory and getting tackled ball and all?

it does seem we'd benefit from getting rid of him, not really adding any value.

I wasn't there so I don't know. One play doesn't cost a game though.

From how it was described to me a simple pass and we'd have been in and either drawn or won by two points, hopefully someone who went can let us know?

Only going off rumours, fairly solid ones though. He was alledgedly telling people that Bomber and Gentle had falllen out, he or his wife had said on facebook that the club were lying to the fans over McKinnon's departure and he was supposedly cheering on Wakey on Sunday.
I don't believe all of it but I think Hull have told him there will be no new contract and he is bitter about it, he was also pally with Agar.

Indeed, but so many players let themselves down at times during that game, it would be unfair to just highlight that mistake. Even though it could have won us the game it certainly was not the reason we lost.

Hang on, it was effectively the last play of the game, he was greedy and didn't score, we lost = if that's an accurate assessment then I think it is the reason we actually lost, everything else was a contributing factor.

I've heard similar things, not sure how true are though. Those rumours and his absence/poor performances this season certainly make not offering him a new contract a smart move.
Wakey can have him, seems to be a graveyard for unwanted players these days.

Yeah I can see where your coming from I guess it depends how you look at it really. I just think picking out one mistake makes him a scapegoat, admittedly he was awful on Sunday but no worse than some others.

| We were at the other end, but it looked to me like the Wakey defender was practically in our attacking line and would probably have intercepted the pass if it had been given. It was on about the third tackle so we still had a couple left in the bag anyway.

I have not read the whole thread but Gentle and Bomber seemed pretty pally on sunday, OMeley was at the end of our stand with Horney and Bowden, I doubt he would have been cheering on Wakey with them.
