Can I start the "KC is a rip off for away fans" thread?'"
And I'm not paying even more for the horrid lager in the North Stand!

Won't matter, there'll be no reserved area if they get it. They don't reserve in their East stand. Would just all be sold unreserved and get there early for best seat.

| If they take the east, south and west I would expect no more than 12000 to be there. There is no way that all of their 6-7000 season ticket holders will go, plus the additional 8000 HKR fans that are needed to make it a normal KC derby crowd.
They haven't got the fanbase, it's as simple as that. This needs to be a 50/50 split on tickets. I would go south/east to us, north plus whatever they need in the west to them. We'll have whatevers left over in the west.

| Quote: WormInHand "But Rovers will be the home side, so their tickets will be sold from the SMC office, same as our home match tickets are.
Only small batches are usually sent to away clubs. Can't see the Hull FC shops being able to manage the sale of 10000-odd tickets - there's a security issue, here. The tickets will be sold through the ticket office, thereby making it a 'free for all' for those wanting to sit anywhere, the only exception being if there's a stand solely allocated to Rovers passholders.'"
Why do they have to sell them from the ticket office? I'm sure a senior Rovers official could pick them up. It really doesn't have to be as difficult as you seem to would like it.
I assume you mean Hull KR when you say they can't sell 10,000 tickets? But its laughable either way, you make out they've never sold that many before.

Depends on what the police and elf n safety say , they could inisist on it being fully reserved due to expected crowd size

So what you're saying is of the 6-7k passholders none of them attend the away derby? Or else why would there be an 'additional' 8k?
They would be the home team, why shouldn't they have the home seats?
Some FC fans need to lighten up.

Still don't see a problem, just print seat numbers on the tickets then. I don't mean for them to sell on the gate.

Steady on - I'm not inferring anything like that.
I'm expecting[i us[/i to sell around 10000 tickets. If, as you say, they give those tickets to the Hull shops to sell, the logistics would be a nightmare, the cash issue alone being one of them. Pointless, when there's a secure ticket office with glass barriers 20 yards away which will monitor the sales and administer the takings.

Some FC fans need to lighten up.
What I'm saying is this, they have 7k season ticket holders max. Even if all of them went (which I don't think they will), they would still need another 8k to make 15k. I'm pretty sure we would sell 4k in the north stand, plus another 2k or so so in the upper west.
Do you really think HKR could sell 15k for a 'home' derby at the KC?
No need to lighten up, just being realistic.

Have we got our wires crossed somewhere? Why would FC fans be buying from the FC shops? East and South are sent to NCP ticket office for Rovers to sell. North and West are sold from the ticket office as normal with priority purchase to our pass holders first and the rest going on general sale.

You have to bear in mind that WIH is busy inventing imaginary difficulties and complications in order to justify demands for FC fans to be given the East and South stands. Even though it's quite possible that we'll get those stands anyway.

| As a passholder sitting in the east stand it would make a change watching us in a different stand. Havent seen this mentioned in the thread yet but what is our record at craven park compared to the kc? Would be interested to know.

I agree it would make an interesting change.
I think the most sensible option is to give Rovers the East and the South and the West Corporate Seats, and the KC/Hull sell the rest.

| It'll be fun when Hutchie and a few thousand KR supporters turn up with a photocopied barcode of an on-line ticket and demand entry

Treat it as a Rovers home game, they get to use the corporate stuff (how many away fans use them at the KC when FC are at home?) Sell tickets to FC fans for North as away fans (and West Upper) and let Rovers have the rest (season pass holders show their pass and get in "free"icon_wink.gif.
As long as the club pays the SMC the going rate for use of the facilities, no problem.
Quite how this benefits Rovers financially I can't see but there you go.'"
That's how I see it, mate.
I don't have a problem sitting in the North Stand. Unfortunately not all fans will agree and I can see plenty of complaints.
