Aye, like kt170496 maybe Gentle sees him as a more mobile prop, kind of like Australia & NSW have used Gallen recently. Obviously he won't be as good Gallen but you get the idea. Could be quite a shrewd move with the interchanges coming down, the 'bigger' props will probably tire later in the game.

I'd imagine he'll be able to do plenty of minutes like Lynch. Be good to have some competition for the starting 4 props aswell.

In the earlier link im pleased hes concentrating on our attack. Hopefully we wont see drive scoot drive inside ball all season.

I can see us going with a more mobile pack this season just like Wests are. Also with only 4 recognised props and then Burnett as the 5th. I'm really hoping that Bowden will get a couple of games this season in the league and play the majority of the cup games.

A couple of seasons ago Burnett had a few stints at prop (for 5-10 minute periods) due to interchanges etc and not being too effective. I'll support him when he's on the pitch and hope that he's shown some sort of improvement but I wouldn't bet on it.

Oh come on, at that time he would have been what, 20/21 and a lightweight 2nd row, never mind a lightweight prop, were you expecting Mike to be bending the line & be a powerhouse at that time/frame size?
If he's dedicated and really wants to play for us he'll do what's required to do the best for us & for him in terms of ensuring future employment.
Whilst I'm not expecting the next O'Meley I'm sure Mike will do alright for us in a not disimilar way to Dowes, that isn't meant to mean he will be like Dowes just that he hopefully will be able to play a lot of minutes, with the new interchange rules that will become a massive bonus.
