| Not sure what to think about this signing as I don't think I've ever seen him play so will wait till next year to judge him.
And hasn't Davies signed for Widnes?

And now we've let another young English prop go. Not a good move again IMO.
Eamon O'carroll has been back for a few weeks. He's gained some fitness in the U20's. He impressed enough to quickly make his return against Bradford and had a good game. rlhttp://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player?hs1
The injury he sustained that kept him out of the game for 18 months was something no-one had heard of at the club. We got advice from all over Europe and eventually something has worked out. I'm pleased we stood by him during this, but disappointed we haven't seen if it was all worth it. Prior to his injury when both him and Paul Prescott were coming through I would have labelled him the better prospect. Prescott though has had a more consistent run in the team and has done very well in fairness.
He's a tough lad. Stocky and hard to tackle. Will give his all and is a likeable character. He's at a young age and if he stays fit he could be a very shrewd signing with the lack of quality English prop forwards in the game and the ever decreasing overseas quota.
Hull FC (and Wigan had we kept him) have nothing to lose.'"
Surprised you let him go to Widnes, like mentioned he looks a very good prospect. O'Carol may prove to be a decent signing (I hope so), bit of a risk but hopefully the price will have reflected that...thanks for the information.

Don't start that all I said was he needs to work on his defence before he's ready for SL. Then everybody's down my throat. I think he's a cracking prospect but I wouldn't throw him straight in as that could ruin him.

| I'm pleased with the signing a young forward is what we need and I have always being impressed with him when I have seen him.
I can't believe how many people get negative when we sign these type of players, so what if he has being injured for the last season or so. Injuries are random and can happen to any player at any time, nobody bats an eye lid when we carry on giving a certain number six all the time in the world. Any player you can sign could always be the next "Warren Jewitt" so I am not going to let any players age or previous fitness effect my opinions on them as a player on the pitch.
We needed more props and its a bonus we have got on without the need to use a quota space.
Slag this signing when he's coming to the end of his three contract not before he has got here. Typical of most Hull fans that though !

Cheers for the info. Young British forward with plenty of potential who has come through a very good junior system. Looks like a good signing look forward to seeing him pull on the black and white.

yeah reading this board is getting depressing, what a bunch of doom and gloom merchants we are. Does nothing make anyone happy. ( Beer does it for me )
(Looking forward to Wilf's assessment on this signing)

| I like to think we have had our share of bad luck with injuries over the last few years, so its about time our luck changed. Any player who pulls on the black & white gets my support. Welcome to Hull FC, Eamon. Show us what you can do!

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

He'd be a very risky signing.
I for one, wouldn't be impressed.

| Can understand why people see it as a risk, however in 2 years time and for a veriety of reasons, in all likelihood Radders, Moa, O Meley, Dowes and Lauaki will no longer be at the club, regardless of whether we sign Lynch, O Carroll could turn out to be one of our integral props at that time and he will still only be 26.
Interesting to see on whole Wigan fans are sorry to see him go, and if it's true the likes of Saints offered him a similar deal then Pearson has already illustrated the ambition he has for FC to potential recruits.
