| I was referring to the "He's just made to look good by the protection he gets from the officials, if he played for Salford or even us he wouldn't look anywhere near as good... I just don't like him!!!" bit.
But while you brought it up. I don't think we are any cleaner or dirtier than any other side is SL.

you wouldn't, but believe the other teams in SL, you cheat consistently, be it laying on or forward passes, but you'll get what is coming eventually, we hope.

| Momentum alone did not take the player over the line. He promoted the ball with a second intentional movement after the ball carrying arm had hit the ground.
The confusion seems to be coming from the fact Sam Tomkins still had momentum which would have resulted in the ball and player ending up infront of where the ball carrying arm hit the floor but the issue is that he assisted that momentum in progressing the ball forward with a second movement which he is not allowed to do after the ball carrying arm has hit the floor.
For instance is a player allowed to pass the ball after the ball carrying arm hit the ground? - no, and we've all seen tries disallowed for doing that. I'm surprised it was allowed to stand and I think it was because it was so done so obviously confidently that people questioned their own judgment. Anyway it was awarded and it did take some scoring.

From what I saw it was his non-ball carrying arm that hit the floor. Seemed a perfectly legitimate try to me.

| Its kind of sad that someone young, talented and British like Sam Tomkins is almost universally despised by the fans of every other SL club.
Maybe he and Wigan should reflect on why that is the case.
Its got to be more than just jealousy surely?

I don't think jealousy comes into it, it's his behaviour and the demeanour of a minority of the goon fan base.

dont think its jealousy, I personally think tomkins is class, but its the way he conducts himself on the pitch, he comes across as an arrogant little tw*t, tries to milk the penalty, talking to the ref, a player of his ability doesnt have to stoop to low tricks, other than that imo hes a great player

Exactly as how I feel! I would say that he is probably the most exciting British player I have seen for....well, a long time. I cannot help wanting to see him get smacked about though!
