We didn't [iknow[/i Berrigan was going to leave in December and even if we [isuspected[/i it we couldn't actually sign anyone until after he'd gone.

We didn't know we were going to have to sack Tansey a week before the start of the season.

The club can however be criticised for failing to sign a back-up half, which was the number one priority at the end of last season.

Last time I said it we signed someone..........

Too be honest I can see why you are feeling frustrated and I am to a certain extent....but I do think that the timing of Berrigan's departure and the timing of Tansey's latest episode has been unfortunate, the club have had no choice but to react to it.

That said I don't want any reactive recruitment next year, I want to have faith in our club to be identifying/approaching targets for 2012 now, alongside any outstanding recruitment for this year.

Especially as the exchange rate situation can improve dramatically over the next twelve months. Forward, strategic thinking is what we need, how we use our 2012 quota spots will go along way to determining our chances of silverware over the next five years IMO.

We won't, why else would we upgrade Williams?

Maybe because Nicklas is out for the season with a bad injury the club thought it would be good development for Williams being involved with the first team squad, if he develops well maybe he will be rewarded with a longer deal.

But Williams wasn't deemed good enough 6 weeks ago, I don't know, it just seems fairly obvious to me, they won't have cancelled Nicklas' contract.

John Clarke not in the Warrington squad, no news of any injury, be happy with him on loan, better than Obst IMO.

No but they could de-register him so he doesn't count on the cap.

I doubt the money Nicklas is on would make much difference in the greater scheme of things.
