In hindsight looking at how he has developed of course it was, he is a very good halfback, offers what we need especially in the kicking department, I'm not so sure though if we hadn't got rid he would have developed as well, because he wasn't that good a player here, maybe he has grown up as a person too. |

He didn't train properly, he was unfit (by his own admission), he wasn't that good back then, and he was a disruptive influence. Oh - and IIRC he asked to leave once it became clear that discipline was being tightened up under Sharp. |

I disagree. At the time it was the right decision for both the club and the player. Who's to say he would have sorted himself out without the kick up the pants of spending some time in the lower leagues?
If it was that large a mistake, how come he wasn't immediately snapped up by another SL side?
Hindsight is useless in these circumstances. |

Are you talking about Tansey now?
I have never got this anti Brough thing saying he was never that good and imo he was, he just needed some guidance, something the club didnt seem to be bothered about doing then though they do now with a lesser player like the aforementioned Tansey |

Sharp came in and wiped the slate clean yet Brough continued to pi$$ about....dont forget Sharp was also stopped by the board from sacking King so Sharp was all for discipline which is fundamental at any club no matter the player.
