| I'd leave Briscoe on the wing, wouldn't even bother trying him at centre now.
He's a very good winger who will only get better.

Whiting will be a back rower next year, Turner wants to be a 13 and you've got more chance of me playing centre than Berro. So i think a centre is a must.'"
Tuffour is well down the pecking order. Turner has played most of his junior rugby at 6 or 13 but has also said he's happy to play centre til the opportunity presents itself. I'd see Horne and Fitz at 6 and 13 next year and i'd see no room in the back row for Whiting either. That for me means they are both fighting for the right centre spot next season. My back row next year would be Burnett, Manu, Fitz with Lauaki of the bench. (or i may go Burnett, Fitz, Washy with Manu of the bench and Lauaki at prop) Either way Whiting is no where near playing back row in my head.

what it does mean is that we dont need to recruit a centre.
A winger is what we need as well as a prop. Maybe a back rower depending what happens.

i would still like to see a centre and a winger brought in,even more so if and possibly hall and calderwood are released.sounds like shenton is following the distinct smell of £££ so we can forget him.there aren't that many about tho' so i suppose kevin penny for calders could be an option(needs to improve his defence i admit, but hasn't played much 1st team grade lately).he has pace to burn, and the sight of 2 quick wingers on our flanks could look promising in an attacking sense.the centre position could be a problem,as i dont think whiting and turner are long term options.

I believe we are currently looking at/speaking to a winger, a centre, a prop and a backrower. Time will tell.

Dont worry about the backrow and sign a back up halfback.
interesting with no quota spots looking available who the players we are talking too, there are few wingers, props and backrows out there, but cant see any centres off quota that a better than we have.
Maybe Shenton, but I arent overly impressed with him, think he is overated.
