I agree he needed more gametime but nobody on here knows why he never got it, there could be a valid reason. Being a good trainer has nothing to do with ability.

It seems obvious he won't be here next season so maybe that's why they have loaned him out?

Neither of them have performed any better than Maloney when he has played this season.

This finally proves what a set of amateur's we have running the club.
A week after bringing in a prop on loan because of injuries, we loan one out.

I am probably in the minority here but I think Maloney playing for a top Championship for a month isnt such a bad thing. The standard is far better then the reserves at the moment and I dont think he has proved himself to be a super league prop just yet.

Granted he may not have been given as much opportunity but stepping into the championship for match experience whilst still training with Hull may benefit him at his current stage of development.

Has he made way on the salary roster to pay for Tansey's early transfer?

Unfortunatley i don`t think Maloney is big enough, while he never let us down he is not what we need as a prop, we have been screaming for some size up front sice Carvell did the dirty on us and as far as i can see Maloney isn`t the answer, hopefully Lauaki isn`t too far away from been able to play and we`ll hopefully see some real impact from the bench.

FWIW Maloney has done OK for us and i would like him to stay on next year. However, if we have 6 or 7 props already signed up and he is at the back of that list then it makes sense for him personally and for us to not hold onto him. Bigger picture needed here.
