As frustrating as it is, there isnt enough competition in referees to drop the ones that fail to live up to standards expected.

Just like players, the ones supposedly at the top get more chances to disappoint before been dropped, unlike young inexperienced players that are in n out.

Maybe if the RFL employed 10 full time refs they could have the option of leaving a ref out if his performance was not up to standard. Been dropped sure makess you try harder to do better next time, whereas constantly getting a game despite of performance does not always.

IMO the refs been guided by the person in charge of referees hardly helps. he should be judged on the standards of the refs he has appointed and he is failing the sport. he must laugh his head off every monday morning while he thinks........ahahahaha easy money for another week, any one complains (coaches) we'll fine them and shut them up to cover up the incompetances of those who i have given jobs to.

He did really well again. He's not what you'd call an orthodox player and it doesn't always come off but if the full squad all put in as much effort as he does we'd be a lot higher than 7th in the league right now.

i think stevo should give hull fc a special mention on boots n all this week, after going on and on and on and on about castlefords' local born players, we had only 2 overseas players in our squad, losing one on 55 minutes, manu, compared to cas' 5 or 6 overseas in their line up

as for the game, everyone seemed to think the bigger murrayfied pitch suited cas, but after the first twenty five, thirty minutes, i think the pitch suited us more, how many kicks went out on the full from cas? 3?

The Ref got the penalty right When he played the ball his back leg was fully stretched he had gone off the mark also obstructed Calderwood ..he never played the ball properly ..and on forward passes people want to watch Leeds/Saints 75% of they tries are from forward passes ..And for Hull to get something off a ref is Christmas presents for us
