TBF, very few babies are born on their due date...I look forward to the announcement telling you to get your backside to HRI!!! At least it's just round the corner lol!!!

Of those a fare proportion will have made arrangements to swap shifts, get baby sitters make travel arrangements etc. That plus a club who have been bigging this match u big style to ensure we get our tickets early to avoid disappointment. Then 3 weeks before hand 16000 people are expected to drop everything and make alternative arrangements.
Rhinos vs Oldham might affect a couple of hundred people. Hull Salford may affect a few thousand, Hull Rovers affects the biggest crowd of the season. It should have been sorted before tickets went on sale. Quote the RFL all you like it does not make it morally correct. And certainly not the actons of an organisation which is constantly trying to attract new supporters.
I am sure the RFL and Sky are acting within their agreements but do you seriously think this is something that we as fans should just say " ah well 5h1t happens from time to time" because I for one and I am sure I am not the only one am getting somewhat sick of this being done at the expense of loyal supporters of any club.'"
Maybe the benefits of showcasing the game to, say, 1/2 million people (just an example, I don't have a clue how many watch games on SKY) outweighs the needs of a small number of fans who have been put out.
9500 of your quoted 16000 ticket holders bought their tickets before they even knew what month the game would be played in and another 4000 or so are rovers fans who don't count anyway.

It used to be £20-25k a match, it was dropped years ago about the time of the mergers and the money was divided equally between the clubs.
Instead of Wigan, Leeds Saints and Bradford copping for most of it

You pi$$ people around at your peril of course and FC have known about this for a few weeks and said ................... nothing and another PR home goal
You could argue that they could not until had been finalised with the police, but they might have had a bit of customer care and issued a statement.

| Thats it i give up with this club..
I now live in London and dont get home to often, so when i saw this game was on a Friday i thought id have a long weekend at home. I also invited my 2 housemates one from Belfast the other Penzance who have never seen a game live or on the TV. So now we have paid in excess of £100 for train tickets with no chance of a refund. Thats it im done...

| Like it or not, Sky plough a huge amount of money into our sport and therefore, as somebody else has already pointed out, call the tune. The RFL are clearly happy with that situation and therefore the clubs must accept that things like this will occur from time to time. I also don't subscribe to the "Hull FC must have known about it for ages" notion either. Up to this morning, the Sky live RL fixtures for that weekend were still "to be confirmed". If I was in marketing at Sky and knew the Hull derby was being shown, I'd have wanted it known to Joe Public as soon as possible.
Also, to those folk who are complaining about already having bought train tickets and are struggling to get a refund?, well I'm guessing you got them in advance to save a few quid. Fair enough, but there's always a risk in doing this to save money. How did you know your own circumstances wouldn't change? If you'd waited and bought the tickets at the station on the day, you wouldn't have a problem. Harsh maybe, but sometimes life is unfortunately.

Well said. I do have sympathy for people who will miss the game because of this but the way people are crying and moaning about it as if they've been morally wronged is ridiculous.

That's a shame. Why don't you start supporting quins instead?

Have you seen the price of train tickets if purchased on the day?
Have you seen all the promiotion this game has received from the club ? Get your tickets early "avoid disappointment" etc etc.
For me its £25 to get a ticket. Tickets on the day for a train are close to £100 oh and an employer which will not stand for me ringing in on match day saying I am not coming in Hull FC are playing.
This is not something I do once a year to watch us against the dobbins this is a process I go through for every match I attend home and away, and have done for 20 years now. So naturally I feel very let down. I am increasingly feeling let down as this was never the case 2 or three years ago. It is now happening two or three time a season.
Add to that three kids a wife, mortgage etc etc and I think its possibly more sensible for me to make plans in advance. But hey this forum and sensible at times are not soul mates are they.
A little honesty from people running the game and the club from time to time may well be appreciated by those of us who can't just drop everything at a moments notice.
Shall I put myself and my family through this again ? I am seriously begining to doubt it.
