Rapana much better today, neat pass to Briscoe and a well taken try. Ashworth very good too, he looked a real handful.
It's always tough losing to that lot of couse but I think we can take a lot out of today. Down to twelve after fifteen minutes but we were still in it with a quarter of an hour left. We just need that bit of luck to go our way.
It's a little concerning that in the last eight games we've had one red and six yellows. This is one thing that Carty has not improved so far.
Would you still get rid of Rapana then?

Once Cust was carded and we lost Chamberlain it was always going to be an almost impossible task. Can?t fault the effort, desire and dogged attitude they gave as don?t doubt gas we been 13 v 13 we?d have won. Even if we?d have had some decisions going out instead of theirs I think we?d have nicked it.
Considering we are supposedly so crap they struggled to beat us.
Thought Knight was outstanding and the minutes he played. Ashworth when he came on, was another along with Litten who were outstanding today. Briscoe looked like he?d rolled back the years today too.
All in all, they all stood up and performed as team and a bit of luck/rub of the green the result would certainly have been different but it?s fine margins and we?re doing it tough at present.
You know when special things are on the horizon as the atmosphere is unbelievable and the togetherness is growing every week.
Disappointed naturally but still pleased to see we are building every week.
Special mention to Carty who has worked wonders along with Myler and seeing his passion during a game is so good to see.
The futures bright, it?s Black & White!!
Sums it up for me?did we expect to be where we are after 8 games?Hell no but we are and we haven?t had our best team out yet.E are a damn site harder to beat and look good with ball and all this in the 1st 6 months of a rebuild.Lets face it,some posters on here wasn?t impressed with some of our signings but they have stuck a massive 2 fingers up to the keyboard coaches and knownowts

| Disappointing to lose but it was a great effort. I've no doubt in a year or two we'll be competing f9r the trophies again. We just need to sort discipline and get a bit more luck with injuries but we're not that far off

| Just looked at the red card properly, shoulder to the head so no complaints from me. Senior got a couple of games for something similar when we played Cas so I'd expect something similar.

| Proud of our team, proud of the effort that everyone put in this afternoon. I know we've all been saying it for a few weeks now, but the difference in attitude, fitness and commitment from last year is absolutely incredible.
Even if that had been the game and score with a 13v13 scenario, I would have applauded the players off the pitch at the end. For the first time in five derbies we gave them a game and asked a few questions of them. Would have been an interesting situation if we had somehow inched ahead during the second half, but just not quite to be today.
It's always tempting after a close game with a sending off to wonder what might have been, but it doesn't always naturally follow that if Cust hadn't gone off we would have triumphed, we'll never know on that one.
Overall, today was another example of how much progress we have made in such a short space of time and what a fantastic spirit exists between the players and how the team has quickly connected with the fan base. Thought the fans stayed positive throughout the game giving great vocal support for the full eighty.
Hate to talk about rovers, but one final point. Lewis is a great player, potentially could be even better still, but he would be better served reining in some of his crowd baiting antics. Don't think he does himself any favours with his mocking of South stand during today's second half, he's just asking for trouble if he keeps this up. I understand that a certain amount of flak may come his way, especially in a hot blooded derby, but he will be a better player if he rises above it and concentrates instead on his own game, let his talking take place on the pitch not towards supporters baiting for a rise from him.
Looking forward to the rest of our season. A lot to be excited about. We're on the move again, and in an upward direction. This team won't die for lack of effort that is for sure. It feels like we have a club to believe in and be proud of once more, the whole mood around the place is the polar opposite to twelve months ago. Roaming the range together once more for the faithful everywhere.

| Outstanding effort with 12 men. Tough to say if we win that 13 v 13 as losing a man possibly actually sparked a bit of life into us, but we damn sure would have had a better chance. Some of the ball movement at times was fantastic, especially considering we were missing a main playmaker. Ashworth really good in the back row and I say it every week now but how I would love to keep Knight. His work rate was fantastic but I feel that led to him been flatfooted in defence a couple of times and getting caught out.
Overall disappointed but it was a match we had no right to be in after 20 minutes so to fight back in the manner is very pleasing.

Even viewing it in the ground on the big screen, it didn't look good. Cust isn't a dirty player by any stretch of the imagination, but he got the challenge horribly wrong, turning his shoulder at the wrong moment. Guess he will now be missing for 2/3 weeks, another body down, another selection headache for JC to ponder on.
