| Despite the links with various aussie centres I would be delighted if Sam stays. Might be the end for Dowes though as he could well end up being 5th choice prop. Unless we play Lauaki in the back row interchanging with Manu?

| Seeing the headline in HDM with refernce to Yak, for some reason just gives me bad vibes over the possible signing of big Sam.

But what do we do with dowes though as yak only has 1 year left so we will need dowes in 2011 but do we risk losing him by having him as 5th choice prop? I know injury will guarantee him a fair bit of game time but it's the stigma of being 5th choice.
Or does agar now see lauaki in the 2nd row?

That about right?

All depends on how Dowes/Yak play.
I'd go with:
Cusack
Berro
O'Meley
Radford
Fitzgibbon
Washy
Lauaki
Moa
Manu
Houghton
It could be argued that Manu should start with either Radford/Burnett/Turner on the bench. Either way I can only see Dowes getting in ahead of Cusack depending on form. The other props all offer more imo.

| I thought against Quins that Lauaki, whilst looking dangerous through the middle, was potentially lethal out wide with a bit more space. Surely thats where Agar will use him?

| Lauaki looks most useful played wider. Starting 60 minute prop next season then.

More like 70, then Agar will snore himself awake and put Moa on for the last 10!

| This Sam Moa contract situation reminds me of a few years ago when we brought Dean Triester over mid way through the 2002/3?? season, was an absoloute fantastic player in his time over here with us and many fans were disapointed we didnt offer him a new deal even though we had a certain Mr Swain lined up.
So hopefully if the board/Agar dont decide to keep big Sam we have someone lined up who can come into the club and make an impact like Swainy did.
