This seems the most likely, if we get rid of Radford before somebody else is lined up what are we left with? Last and Horne?

God help us where Last is concerned because I really don't think it's a coincidence that he was also Agar's assistant and we played poorly then too. Horne needs to earn his stripes with the U19's. As I said on another thread they won again today. Top of their league which is very promising both on the playing front and the coaching front.

| It's difficult to comprehend really what's going on with your lot. It is clear that the players are either genuinely confused by LR's tactics or lack of or they are just not interested in playing for him. I don't watch you enough to know what the definitive answer is. One thing stood out for me though, and even if the players do not understand the tactics/game plan they should still be encouraged or should even want to try something different, run a little bit harder or try a little kick through. Players like rankin, pryce and shaul should be able to at least try something and for me the spark was just never there. You made metres fairly well, just looked scared to go out and play rugby.

| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "There's two ways to look at it for me. Either he genuinely believes what Radford is telling him about the players effort and thinks one lucky win might start us on a run. If that's the case then he obviously doesn't know very much about the game and how it's played, because if he did he would be able to see for himself what is so painfully obvious to most of us who do know a thing or two.
The second possibility is that he knows he's made a mistake, but after sacking Gentle and backing Radford to the point where he has effectively said he won't be sacked no matter what, he is too stubborn to backtrack and admit his mistakes.
There's also a third option which is that he wants to act but doesn't think he can afford to after all the other recent expenses. I don't think this is likely though. He must realise that if he doesn't act in order to save money now it will only sting him worse in the future.'"
i think the last is pretty plausible. It's not so much that his heels are dug in, but that his pockets are almost empty. Wilf mentioned in his diary about people leaving the club on the commercial/community side and not being replaced, a week or two ago.
It might be most cost-effective to replace the coach, but if it's not affordable it's not an option. His pre-emotive clarity on Radford staying come what may, would perhaps make more sense too.
I dunno, but I do wonder.

This. For me, whilst Rovers played well they didn't exactly blow us away like Leeds did a few weeks ago. We got down their end of the field easily enough and then just... fell to pieces. Rovers defended what we threw at them very well but we just didn't look at all threatening.

Maybe. But we had a fans forum earlier in the week though in which he said we're on course to break even and appoint a CEO which contradicts the money thing somewhat.
Sigh, I just don't know what to make of things any more...

| Total apathy from the players. They have no fire or passion for the Club. No one shouting, congratulating. The body language alone shows they don't care .
Just watch the togetherness of both Wigan and Saints at the moment.
Yet another year with no leader. A rudderless ship .

| I didn't believe that we could play as badly as we did yesterday. For me it was another step down from what I thought was the bottom. And in a derby as well. We need a new coach and some new players. In terms of the players I'd start at hooker and clear all three of the current crop out.

Striking difference. Celebrating knock-ons by the other side like a cup win. Great to see.

Agree, Houghton is the most overrated player in SL. His distribution is quite frankly appalling.
