So that's your opinion.
As has been said, what of the fan who buys a shirt? What about the poorer fans who can't afford to support financially.

| If you buy a shirt at £50 the club might see £25 of it.
A ticket bought and the club will see.....

We have this magic thing in our house called a TV. It allows you to actually see things that happen a long way away - even as far as the M62 corridor. Even more amazingly, some of these 'TV pictures' can be sent down wires and bits of glass to appear on the screen of PCs and laptops. Through these mysterious and arcane methods the Wise amongst men can see EVERY SINGLE FRIKKIN' MATCH.
Deary me today...

You don't know a lot on here, or at MY club, yet you have an awful lot of bad views on them.

not your club, sorry to point that out, it belongs to everyone who follows them, you may feel a super fan because you get you oesophagus greased now and again (you can google the long word), you are no more or less of a fan/supporter than I, about time (in my opinion) you accepted that and we all move on?
or you can keep drearily moaning about my attendance at games (which you have no idea whether I actually do or not, you take what is posted on here as gospel)
but keep up the keyboard warrior work, it's easy pickings for intelligent people

| Another thread descending into the definition of fandom.
Anyone who contributes positively to the success of the club is a real fan in my opinion. Financially (through tickets, merchandise, sponsorship). Emotionally through going to games and cheering the team on. Wishing them well, genuinely. Celebrating the positives. Offering constructive alternative ideas when things aren't going well. Participating in the club's events- fan days, charity fund-raising, coaching youngsters, cheerleaders, ball boys, fanbassadors, blog-writers. People like my mum, too old to go to games, but hooked to Radio Humberside on gameday, a past literally filled with active support of the team she used to cycle to watch as a ten year old.
Those whose only contribution to "supporting" the club is pi££ing and moaning on here? Hmm....Interested in how this is supporting the club in its bid to improve.
I'd not be so stupid as to claim this has been anything but a very disappointing season. That, at the absolute best, the jury's out on AP's coaching appointment. That going into the season with no goal-kicker, no player with a kicking game and built round a nucleus of Peter Gentle's godsons was genius. But there are some reasons for positivity. Youth is being given a chance. In general there seem to be few players who are automatic picks under Radford, no "favourites" when that was a concern for many pre season. Sneyd and Pryce are 1st and 6th respectively for assists this season. Ellis and Westerman have been superb. So, if your only "contribution" to the club is the relentless personal and professional slating of our current coach, I agree with easthull fc fan that it's not unreasonable to challenge the definition of being a supporter. Analyst, critic, denigrator or somewhere on that sliding scale would probably be more accurate.
This is not about stifling debate, at all. But let's face it, there's precious little of that these days. Just one dimensional criticism and negativity.
