| Quote: Big Dave T "Depends what you think the reason for the poor performance was. I think its a combination of poor coaching, no game plan, lack of effort and injuries.
Training for me will not impact any of the points above unless the coach changes and the training adds value.
If Agar seriously does blame the injuries then why would he feel the need to get any kind of message out to the players. The rest would be the strongest message to say that he's supporting them to get better.'"
Fair point.

next year maybe so but not yet for most'"
That's becuase the conveyor belt of talent coming through came to a juddering halt when mcrae left and now we're lucky if we get 1 average player a year coming through

Why not? The coaching team which has included Agar for more than his tenure as head coach are tasked to find and develop young players. Indeed it's Agar's "speciality" according to some. Other clubs of our supposed stature bring kids through and use them. We use Leeds'. When this happens next year and we still have no kids coming through that we dare risk it will be the same story again , "next year we'll be ok". Nothings changing though , there are no signs that anything will improve. The coaching staff have failed to produce so why do you think it will be different in the future?

There will be a minimum of six players at the weekend with injections to keep them going, all have been asked if they feel "good to go" and all said yes.. however there are three that will again suffer because of it and I take my hat off to them ( one of them has rib cage damage that looks like a mugging victim)
The bigger issue is with a smaller squad such as ours is that if these players all sat back and said we need time to recouperate who would replace them as we simply dont have that depth, then the merry go round starts as to why we lost again and its all agars fault AGAIN!! '"
Well if any of these players further aggravate existing injuries, then that would be all Agar's fault, quite right. Ridiculous and unnecessary risk-taking with players' health IMO.

| 5. Tactics – If you play rugby league in ones as FC tend to do you are going to take more hits from defenders. For example one man takes the ball up and is talked by a three defenders with often a fourth coming in to finish the job. Alternatively you have an attacker in support and at least one of those defenders must stay out of the tackle to mark the supporting attacker. Result ball carrier takes less hits and only has to wrestle with 2/3 defenders on the floor.
at Rovers we play one man rugby more than any club, but we dont get the amount of injuries that you do at Hull, and were lightweight too dont forget so i cant see the one man rugby being a factor TBH

ITS ROUGH ITS TOUGH ITS RUGBY LEAGUE!!!: |
|
| Quote: EXPRO "The conditioning and preparation of the players at our club is very careful and considered!
The reason for so many injuries so often is quite simply bad luck , nothing more , nothing under hand just bad luck'"
what a crock of sh@t.. ok then... 3 seasons of "bad luck" injuries!!! not possible.
im sorry but not a chance we can have that..
a little bad luck- sure
bad tactical decisions- sure
bad traning, conditioning, warm up- sure
age and injury prone- sure
cant see how you can say its just " simply bad luck "

| Injuries are down to bad luck, poor recruitment decisions and players (horne) getting to the stage in their career when they can't shake off the knocks like they used to.
I reckon we have 300 grand + tied up in fitz and long, both of whom are in their mid 30's and both of whom have been battered for the last 15 years. Poor recruitment decisions in my opinion to invest so much in high risk players

You said we have no choice but to play unfit players with injections because otherwise people will get on Agar's back. I think it's taking unnecessary risks with players' long term health for the sake of people on here giving Agar a bit more stick.

No its called fielding a competetive team
If a player thought he could not do it he would not , THATS why the soldiers pull on the jersey every week... you know the ones everyone want rid of like Radford and Dowes
Like I sad before it seems that many on here believe we should be buying a team of Offiah, Hanley , Harrison hybrids from somewhere that can run in 80 points per match between them ..

You continually seem to avoid answering questions that don't suit your views. For example mine earlier about why after so many years of Agar and Last and Crookes our young "stars" are not ready to play. Not the crop from this year but last years and the years before that.
And Manu is out for 4 weeks with damaged elbow ligaments according to Agar. Nothing wrong with him??????????????????????
