| Quote: Mrs Barista "We're in a good run of form for sure, and in the 3 of 11 return fixtures played l we've seen off Wigan and Catalans, which is impressive. Biggest game for me is the Catalans cup tie. Think that's a massive point in the season for us. We've not had many injuries to cope with yet either so that will be a challenge for us at some point.'"
Agree, keeping players fit is the key, especially the halves. We've lost Carlos and Leon, Dean Hadley stepped up at short notice plus Washy but Mark is the key half. Who will cover him? I thought a cheeky fourth spot and good cup run but my expectations have grown. Yes I dare to believe

| We have a chance this year, and I am actually really enjoying the games which after a few years of misery is a godsend. I love the fact we are coming from under the radar also. Did anyone read the BBC sport RL headline - I loved it

| I believe we have a real chance of a final this year and I'm certain we would be mentally as well as physically stronger in a final than we were in 2008 or 2013.
The Cup QF is our biggest game for three years and I hope as many people get there as possible. Staying at home and watching on TV should not be an option if you are able to get there.
In the league, we need to be wary of Rovers who have nothing to lose next week. The Saints game the week after is massive too given their position in the league.

| Tbh, not thinking any further than the next game and that's how it should be, for fans and especially so for the players.
For the fans it's fantastic that we currently playing some great rugby but as alluded upthread we still have plenty of work to do in certain areas.
we've being in this position before quite a few times and come away with nowt come season end, just seems like we are setting ourselves up for a fall.
Do I believe, I believe we have a chance to win in every game we play, every season since I started coming as a 9 year old. Of course I never expect to win every game but it's that expectation of the upset/surprise win when you have an injury strewn team or a bunch of lads that aren't as individuals superstars but play for the pride, play for themselves and each other to their best ability. that's what puts a smile on fans faces.
One game at a time and keep our feet on the ground.
As for the Leicester City comparison, in a short snapshot from 2seasons ago maybe there are some similarities but we should never have being there in the first place.
However we've won the competition before whether you call it the league leaders/1st Division champions or the grand final play offs/premiership/championship, we've won it all ways under both formats, in fact we've won it more under the current system than the straight top of the league system.

| we could be going into the warrington game on the back of a 6 match winning streak in the league. rovers, widnes and saints are games we should be getting the points in. win the warrington game as well and we should be clear at the top with 5 games left. if that scenario pans out i'll start believing we can win the league

| Now, I'm a cynical old so-and-so and 40 years of following the club have made me sceptical of over-reacting to a sudden burst of good form. However, even this cynical 50-something so-and-so is increasingly finding it difficult to keep a lid on my increasing excitement as 2016 unfolds.
We look strong and powerful, both physically and mentally, the team spirit is the best it's been in years and the players clearly believe in themselves, individually and as a collective team (witness the last twenty minutes last night).
There is every reason to believe that something special may be about to happen. However (and here comes that warning voice in my head) I've been here before too many times and have seen too many hopes, dreams and aspirations disappear over the course of the last thirty years to be able to fully believe 100%.
We had a similar run to this current one at about this time (post Easter) three years ago and by the end of that season we'd suffered humiliating defeats at Wembley and Huddersfield and despair had set in once more. That scenario has to be qualified by the observation that the current squad is unquestionably better than the 2013 vintage.
So, to answer the original question; do I believe?, well this cynical 50-something so-and-so hasn't been able to fully believe 100% since Wembley 1983 (some scars can run very deep when supporting a team!), but even I can feel a palpable sense of rising excitement within the ranks of the faithful.
Do I Believe? Well let's just say that I'm getting there with each passing week (especially these past seven days) and if I'm starting to think along those lines then everybody else must surely be.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to start a week of feverish praying that this feeling continues until at least the end of the month (and hopefully all the way into October).
Yours Faithfully,
A Cynical 50-something so-and-so.

| I last believed in 2006, in that every match we played as the season went on I became confident we'd win.
I am starting to feel the same now. I'm starting to believe once more. And it feels bloody great.
Thank you Lee Radford and your band of brothers.

| I believe we are on the brink of something special. More importantly, I think the players also believe.

Is that it, is that the best you can do?
I feel sorry for you if all you can come up with is a sad little poke because I don't agree with everything others say.
Care to read my posts and I've backed LR (this season) for the most part even after what happened at Widnes. Have I still being critical of the errors he's made, yes, absolutely, I've also given praise for his improvements. Have I being critical of players whom haven't cut the mustard..yes, just as others do and also given praise to those players that have improved..as others do.
This is a forum for discussion and even when we've being doing well we can still highlight things we can do better and when things go wrong.
Jesus you can't even be happy when we play fantastic rugby...I pity you.
