| Think under-rated player and could be really good signing

| Quote: Dave K. "As said on the other thread, not convinced we needed another defensive forward.
As poor as tickle was last season, he is a much better attacking forward than Tuson.
Anyway he has signed and I hope he proves me wrong.
Good luck Chris.
Prop and winger next.'"
How was Tickle a better attacking forward? Granted he was put on crash balls near the line, but had little else to his game. He had no offload or passing ability at all and gave penalties away (usually for laying on). Not saying Tuson is SBW like, far from it, just don't get how you can say he's a [imuch[/i better attacker. Tickle's major strength was the power in his tackles.

Yes it says he's a idiot.

| Good quality signing.
Very pleased with that. Wigan still wanted him when he signed for Wakey which says it all.

| As stated some time ago Tuson was still welcome at wakefield should he decide to come. He was given the option to nagotiate elsewhere should he wish as at Wakey there were some signing lined up to come along side Tuson (Sure Adam Swift was all but signed) but the finances reared their heads.
Wakey were good enough to do the correct thing by Tuson. He should go well for you and although I don't see tickle much I think I'd rather have Tuson than tickle any day.
Part of me thinks we could have made someone pay a few for him but that wouldn't have been very tasteful given the situation. Wakeys loss is hulls gain but we aren't struggling for good second rowers so could be been worse.

Not once in Danny Tickle's duration with us did I see him as an attacking forward. I agree with you, barring coming on to a short ball near the line, which nine times out of ten was put down, all he was was a solid back-rower who could kick a dead ball. A good salary off the cap.

Tickle has 4 times as many offloads and twice as many tackle busts in less games and playing for a worst team, who can't attack.

| Very happy with this signing, a good strong back rower coming into the peak of his career. An upgrade on tickle IMO.

Totally agree with you, there is no way anyone can surely believe that Tickle is a better attacking backrower.
Much rather have Tuson over someone like Mika, but was he really needed? Needed another impact prop much more than a back rower. But seeing as we signed a back rower, it should of been someone in the same mould as Manu. We're never going to improve our predictable attacking signing grafters.

An upgrade on the Tickle of 2013 who had become something of a penalty machine, couldn't pass a ball and is injury prone. Prior to that Danny T has been a great servant to the club both as a 2nd rower and a supreme goal kicker, but the timing of his departure is err timely.
Happy with this signing as mentioned coming from a winning and disiplined culture at Wigan. Welcome to the black & whites Chris.

| Fits the mold of young and English, agree we need a prop more, but then people tell me a couple of the young players could be making a step up.
