| Looked very dodgy, there were certainly some fingers going in around the eyes.

| I'm not sure - but don't judge it on the slo-mo, it'll make it look more calculated. Looked to me that it was one of those freak things that you couldn't do if you tried. Not nice for Long, but I think you have to give benefit of the doubt - a caution at most, IMO.

| I'm undecided on this. One side of me is saying that it was un-intentional and then the other side of me is saying you dont often see a tackler make the tackle with his thumb sticking out towards a player face, they usually have a clenched fist or grab at something, Parker did neither.

I was willing to allow benefit of doubt until the second attempt

| I watched it with a mate and when Parker went back a second time called it gouging - once can be a clumsy accident, but to go back into the same area in the same tackle looks malicious. Hard one for officials to call in the heat of a game as you can't always see these things in a three man tackle.

| [iI'm sure the RFL will take a look at it and if there is a case to answer then they will deal with it one way or the other.[/i

| They should take a look at the O'meley incident too, the one that made Cashmere react in the way he did.

| Seems a bit too coincidental that the victim of the alleged gouging is Long - with his well publicised damaged eye.

I couldn't give a toss to be honest, neither team is mine. Just thought I'd point out that Salford were not the only team who a bit dirty last night.
On the subject of Holdworths swinging arm, it was into the ball/arms, although I thought it was foul play with intent. O'meley flopped and swung his forearm in an upward motion into the grounded players head. He's lucky the ref only seen the flop.

Quite right , funny how Hull fans spot an incident on old big eye , and yet dismiss a swinging arm to a gounded player as nothing more than a flop

Not too sure whether it was deliberate myself but either way parker went of injured with a suspected broken wrist/arm so any ban would be insignificant.
If it was deliberate maybe you could say he got what he deserved
