| Been the same for some time though. We look like a side who doesn't see the ball between games and the basic skills are very poor IMO. We have some great attacking players but our attacking structures and ball control are nowhere near good enough

| Apart from Castleford we are in the ball park for points scored this season, for me it's not the problem.
It's the errors and penalties which are doing us and nothing else. Its not unusual for us to defend 3 sets of six on our own tryline multiple times in a game, which I imagine would zap any energy in attack.
The desire is there and the effort so I don't see it as a crisis but I agree the league has probably gone now.

7th for tries scored so some way behind the best attacking sides in the league

| What has really changed from last season?
Just not good enough at the moment!
Confidence seems low , discipline poor, retention terrible.
At a loss really !!

| 30% completion 1st half
52% completion 2nd half..
Shocking....
If we carry on in this vein, players will be burnt out through needless
defence..
I see Sneyd is copping flak, Is he the only player dropping the ball?

No but when he has ball in hand he is doing very little with it apart from a kick on the last tackle.
Should not have been brought straight back in when Kelly/Connor combo was playing well.
If Kelly is fit and Connor available i think Snyed will miss out next week.

Sneyd will play if fit. Tried to poke his head through the line a few times last night, like the keyboard warriors told him to, last week, and got clobberd heavily once. They're just lulling everyone else into a false sense of security.

| We need to stop trying to throw it around like the harlem globetrotters and drive it in more, too many handling errors and daft offloads last few games.

It's a balance isn't it? People want entertaining, error-free, consistent winning rugby. Otherwise known as the moon on a stick. Cas are the only team to deliver close to this but fell at their 2nd play-off game hurdle in one of only 2 competitions.

What is the purpose of this post?
Makes no sense.
Fancy a rugby player getting clobbered.
Sneyd very rarely takes a tackle anyway and again rarely takes on the line.
Hardly keyboard warrior stuff is it just because it does not compute with your way of thinking.
This thread is about attack which you think a scrum half would be integral too.

| Totally agree with Bomnbed Out - how many sets of six do you see us have and the only involvement is a kick on the final play. He's a scrum half for gods sake, should be involved far more.
Even the young kid at Saints, Richardson was heavily involved whenever Saints had the ball against us. He has to do more, it's as simple as that.
I think our best rugby is when we just throw it about, like the last 15 minutes at Leeds, when we come away from the structures because more people are trying to create and thats where our biggest problem is. We don't have enough creators. Washy looks more comfortable on the ball than sneyd at times.

The whole team has been poor but Sneyd is also very culpable.
His inability to take on the line, his catch and pass style of play, the way he stands back to do this and last play kicks make us a very easy to read and predictable team.
As this thread is about attack that's what your halves are there to instigate and control.
Kelly has the ball you get excitement and uncertainty. Sneyd gets the ball you know he's just going to pass.
I personally think when all are fit Connor and Kelly should be our pairing.
As we've not had a settled scrum half for years I think some people regard Sneyd as the new messiah and are very protective. He's steady away if nothing else but not the cheeky chappie style of scrum half I'd have liked to have seen.
