I don't remember it as awful. We went almost unbeaten all season and saw some great rugby after years of utter cack. Who can forget Gary Lester scoring that try at Hudds to take us back into Super League then there was the amazing centre talents of Fili Seru and the utter battering ram power of Hitro Okesene????  |

the first season in superleague wasn't too bad at all - it was the second one that was a disaster. some (ahem) 'amazing' recruitment for that second season

| If you have your own lettering and numbering already sorted, there's two places I've used for pressing - UK Print Services Ltd down Cleveland St (nr Spiders), and a shop off Holderness Rd nr the Thomas St and Witham area (down one of the streets on the opposite side to Witham Glass and Curry). Both good service and well priced (around £3-£4 for pressing). I think the Cleveland St one would perhaps also do a good job of doing the actual lettering and numbering for you if you didn't already have a set (ie if you had a really good old pic) but of course it wouldn't be authentic.
When I've wanted an old NUFC shirt printing with the correct style I've bought the lettering and numbering from Asia (via eBay) and then got it pressed at the above places.

This is the shirt we wore when we stayed up by beating Sheffield at home in the last game.
AWFUL rugby, some very bad players, heavy defeats and a total sense of doom
Horrible memories, and even Prekky had had enough and signed for Wakefield for 2000
