Bloke behind me was slagging him off during the warm up...as for his trys..all a walk in after we had created over-laps...didnt do nothing wrong but not the player to take us forward.

We were never going to find a like for like replacement for Briscoe.
That role I believe was to be filled by lineham next season but we all know how that worked out.

Crookes has not had a proper run in the side probably lacking in match fitness but has not done a great deal wrong when been in the team.

Let's give the lad a chance first before we write him off.

I think when we signed him they miss spelled his name, we should have signed Carney. I know he's a hot head, but of a troubled boy, but the games I have seen him play he is a work horse, always coming in for work, big, strong, very much like Lineham IMO.

In fairness my gran could've scored his tries last night, all he had to do was catch the ball and put it down!!!
He will only ever be a squad player to do exactly what he is doing now, fill in as and when required due to injuries. Every squad needs players like that.

He runs it back hard, can catch, is fast and can put the ball down over the line. I fail to see what more a winger needs to do. Holding the player up over the line at Wembley showed he has defensive strength.
If we're relying on wingers for inspiration, then we're doing it wrong.

Don't get this thinking. In fact it bugs the hell out of me. People say about saying x amount on a winger, n how it's to much.
Irrelevant where the player plays if he has that X factor he's worth paying for.
Briscoe, charnley, hall even lineham (more in future) are match winners! Metre makers, n hard workers expected to be solid in the most scrutinised n exposed position on the field. I'd pay mega bucks for any of them players, cos over the yrs your more than likely to be up on the deal.
