| I'd say Either one of these 3.
1st. Westerman
2nd. Crooks
3rd. Holdsworth

Crooks and Miller kick goals too, and Whiting. I'm sure one of them can become decent with practise!

| Whiting is rubbish at kicking goals, he's kicked a few but should be nowhere near the top of the list.
Holdsworth & Westerman are the only ones that have kicked regularly in SL before and Ben Crooks can, but his kicking technique is weird. He almost punts the ball!
If nobody we sign kicks goals, then I'd imagine Reg will get the gig.

| I'm hoping that it isn't Holdsworth. Leave him to focus on his 'in-game' play without the added pressure/distraction of the kicking duties as he's key to our performances. Plus he was inconsistent when kicking earlier this season when Tickle was out injured.
Personally, I'd probably go with Westerman as he has the experience of being a regular kicker in SL, and if he's not on the pitch at the time then let Crooks kick.
All of that said, no matter who gets the gig we're still not going to have the same conversion rate that we currently have with Tickle. Tickle's one of the very best kickers in the league. There aren't many who can match or surpass him.

| A little known fact :
In the Under 12 Yorkshire Cup Semi Final it went to Golden Point when Skirlaugh bulls beat a ' cheating, lying' East hull side.
The penalty was awarded 35m out and 10m to the left. A very talented 11 year old put it through the sticks. The pressure was amazing and some parents couldn't watch , some had 5 cigs lit.
That cool milky bar kid was Dean Hadley

Things have reversed dramatically in that regard, if what I witnessed this week is anything to go by!
Don't think Hadley kicks anymore, he hasn't any time I've seen him play in our juniors, nor has he kicked for York.

| I think Ben Crooks is in the best position to actually spend time concentrating on taking kicks..make him work his booty off over the winter along with other potentials..

i agree wth you, i went to the york friendly at the start of the year, and he kicked 8 out of 11, from what ive seen this year, better than holdsworth could do
