Been at a charity fundraising day all day today and just got back so thought I would ask if anyone knows the score with this chat I had today or has any sense to put into it??

A Large sponsor of Hull City today told me over lunch that if City go down they are likely to go into administration with immediate effect!!!
Does anyone know if that would impact on FC in any way re our groundshare with them!!!
I have no idea wondered if anyone had any knowledge otherwise of how these things work!!

Can't see any reason why it would affect us.

Who knows? - I suppose if City go down it will have financial implications all the way round as the stadium management will feel the need t balance loses - as long has FC have a agreement in place the better for them = if a new one is due then it could be a bummer!!!!

not exactly a surprise, City have been quite open about what troubles they will face if they go down (such as the fact the players don't have clauses in their contracts that reduce their pay if they are relegated...unlike at most clubs)

doesn't have any effect on us, as the ground is council owned.

If City did it is more likely then not a way of getting around paying all those extortionate salaries with no relegation clauses in them!

Cant see how it effects Hull FC at all TBH.

May make FC the most financially attractive and as such more of a cash-cow

they will, they have a massive debt and a large wage bill. And some high earners will be very hard to move on.

I presume, like Basil said, that as long as we have a contract without any clauses relevant to this, which I hope we haven't, it shouldn't affect us as they would be unable to change our current deal. However, we could be in a bad spot whenever this contract is renewed.
