Looking at the number of Hull players who have scored 10+ tries in a Super league season over the last few seasons:

2005 Blacklock 17, Raynor 15, Yeaman 15, Briscoe 13

2006 Yeaman 21, R Horne 15, Raynor 15, Tony 13, Blacklock 13, Domic 10

2008 Yeaman 16, Hall 13

2009 No one


In 2004 we scored 151 tries in 28 games, this year we've scored 74 in 24.

What i read from this is that we are $hite, simple as. Grade A off the field, not even scraping a grade E- on it!

Tell me about it, We have only had one game this season when we knocked up a score of more than 30 points !!!

We dont have any creativity,any flair and basically we dont have a clue on how to score !!!!

Calderwood is the only one who has given us anything different or any flair and he gets dropped !!!

The worst attacking side in SL.

Totally agree attcking wise we were brilliant.

Bang on the money. In fact, is it too far to say in SL history? In purely attacking terms nobody comes to mind as less effective/skilful than we now are.

We might not have the lowest 'points for' but we are still the worst attacking side, Celtic look more threatening than us.

By some distance.

It would help if we could actually hold onto the ball in the tackle, catch, and pass. We must have one of the lowest completion rates in the competition.

Still - actually having the ball is 'overrated' according to our coach.

I dont even remember our attack being this bad when we had the likes of Mark Hewitt playing and we were poor for periods then, really poor.

I said halfway through the season that their attacking play is exciting and varied, they just dont have the standard of player to carry it off. With some good recruitment they will be much better next year

It really put it into perspective when i went up to Edinburgh and watched all the teams on 1 weekend. I said at the time that we looked like the worst organised team there, our attack was slow, laboured, clueless and predictable. Teams like Celtic and Salford were far better than us. Worrying thing is that our defence has gone backwards at pace too, Jon Sharp doing a good job there then!!

i find these stats very depressing a massive side like ours..... there is obvisouly something going on behinde the changing room doors, we use to allways play for each other and now it seems there is no respect amongst the players and this is ending in poor results i honestly think you can have the biggest names in SL at a club but if theres no respect for each other this will only result in losing games! as we all have witnessed IMO.
