| Personally Tony Smith is a NO
Not a bad guy - took Rovers to the play offs
But just past it for me
Michael McGuire - Yes , I watched a lot of Wests and the show
that was on most weeks that’s had a deep dive into the Club during the season - did you get that show on Sky Sports ?
He’s a passionate guy and did wonders at Wigan in a little time
I’ve emailed Adam but i’m sure the wages would be high
Can’t see Wane or any decent non Aussies available

One thing for sure whoever fails it will not be Adam's fault

| Madge looked shot at Wests. Took them backwards and was out of ideas.
He probably needs time to recharge his batteries. It would be a no for me.
Convinced he should've won more at Souths too.

When you saw how Wests played at the end of his tenure, they were the Australian example of Hull, during our annual freefall. He looked mentally and physically shot, even though he tried every conceivable way of changing the situation, it was apparent that he could not achieve it and players , such as Luke Brooks looked absolutely fed up of being in that team.
I would take Tony Smith, only because he is a recognised coach, over any assistant and unproven candidates that throw their hat in. My own preference to take the reigns at Hull would be Wane, which I know may not be a popular choice universally among our fans, he is a proven winner, who managed to eek out every drop of effort from his limited Wigan squad. They were aggressive and eager, in defence and all looked desperate to play for the club-the exact opposite of where we are now.

The parallels with us and Wests is scary
It would be interesting to see Wane in a non Wigan environment. Could he replicate the same success?
Smith has had success, at different levels, at every club he's been at.
Think it's a done deal with Smith anyway

| If we appointed Wane I'd love to be a fly on the wall for his first meeting with Jake Connor.

| After reading Cookes article I think Smiths a good option, in the sense the whole club and community need to be brought back together and galvanised.
People speak about Smith being abit hard headed, and liking an influence in alot of areas of the club, hinting or hoping it could cause frictions. I think this is exactly what's needed when you think of Pearsons need for good advice and expertise. Smith brings that in buckets. Pretty much a director of rugby and coach rolled into one. Obviously a power struggle at KR that Lakin didn't like, but it'd be an absolute blessing in our situation.
I also think Wane would be perfect for this group of players, and would also offer expertise off the field which were lacking.
Id be happy with either or

| I got the impression that his plans at KR didn't receive the financial backing he wanted. I'd assume that meant around the academy and development which is the one thing we actually seem good on right now.

| Smith would be my first choice TBH. Just think he’d be a good fit for what we need.
People say about clashing with AP, but the personalities might actually gel. Might be the sort of character that Pearson has needed for some time now.
If not , Tuchel is available.

I've never heard of any coach falling out with Pearson, think he had a good relationship with both Radford and Hodgson and ideally he would have kept them both.

You’re right actually. Too loyal if anything thinking about it.
The perception about AP comes from people outside the club.
