Think you'll be right with Huddersfield but surely Donny is fairer distance wise between the two cities?
And forget the bollox about it not being big enough, there was only ten thousand for our game against Wigan last year.
Having said that the John Smiths and Keepmoat have both been kind to us.... Haven't we won two at each in our last four semis?

8000 of them was from Hull though, Leeds will bring a lot more than Wigan poor effort did.

| Talk of the Keepmoat. Was like a home tie there last year.

Agreed.
Looks like we'Lloyd be doing the 75 mile hard yArds as opposed to Leeds 20.

| Donny is easier to get to, but for the good of the game i'd rather see a bigger crowd at Huddersfield. Crowds for semi-finals have been very poor and the RFL need to work with the clubs to market the games and get the grounds sold-out. The game should be aiming bigger than 15k stadiums for two of its best supported teams.
Kick off time is a big issue though, they need to get the BBC to agree to Saturday/Sunday afternoon or tea-time kickoffs, Friday nights on the M62 aren't good for anybody.

| Doncaster is the likely venue surely.
We get the same arguments about the semi final venues not being big enough every year but every year the RFL's choices are proved correct.
I'm not sure Huddersfield Town would want a game played on their pitch a couple of weeks before the Premiership starts anyway.

If I remember rightly the 2008 Wakefield semi at the Keepmoat was a 3pm Sunday kick off and a great atmosphere at the ground and round the town beforehand so I'd hope for same again.
Was fairly flat round Donny last year, mind you, wasn't our fault Wigan didn't bring any fans.

Get a who do you want in the final thread, worked for Cas.
I'd be happy with Donny or Hudds and would prefer Hudds, but expect it to be at Donny.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |
|
| We play Huddersfield at home the week before the semi, Leeds play Wigan away.

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"

| Don't know what difference there is in time-wise for you lot getting to Donny versus Huddersfield, but the lack of amenities around Donny's ground must make you favour Huddersfield ? The train station is a handy walk from Hudders' ground as well for your train lot. Donny is too isolated for my liking.

| you would like to think the RFL could pre-empt a big crowd for a game, so I would hope the game is at Hudds.
Donny is ok, if you want the game to look small. Some will point back to last seasons game v Wigan in the Semi where they only brought 1500 or so, but hardly surprising on a Friday night.
If there is a situation where by all season ticket holders cannot attend, then it is a poor decision. Hull have around 8000 season pass holders, Leeds will have >10k. Keepmoat (with the segregation put in place, will house not more then 14k.
Hudds all day long for me
