Are you staying or doing a day trip?
If just doing a day trip you're better off parking at a Tube or Rail station on the outskirts and getting a 1-day travelcard. Stations around the bottom of the M40 (for example) charge £4.50 to park all day and the travelcards are typically not that expensive. Much better to driving through London and finding an expensive car park.

| I'd second what Kosh said, look for an outer station that links up to Wembley, park there and train it in.
Wembley is an awful place to get in and out by road.

| Cheers gents.
Just doing a day trip playing taxi. Parking away from the stadium sounds like the best idea.

| If you are coming down the M1 Watford is always a decent bet, for those staying over night as well, Watford has plenty of hotels and links up to Wembley by bus and train.
I used to live in High Barnet, bit awkward to get to Wembley from there.

| Like i said i lived there, catch the 614 Uno bus to Queensbury then Queensbury to Wembley Pk. But the 614 isn't part of the Tfl network and runs at only 1 an hour on a Saturday. Only other option is going all the way into town to come all the way back out via Northern Line, just as a local i find it a pretty longwinded way.

| for the 2013 final I parked at Chorleywood tube tube station. Its in the Metropolitan line and goes to Wembley Park.
It didnt cost anything to park there but did take about 40 mins on the tube train to WP.

We always use Stanmore too, straight off the M1.

| Stanmore for me. Used it many times before. Also, use a contactless card for the tube - it costs £3 return, otherwise its £4.80 each way!

| Similar to above, worth getting an oyster if you're travelling via tube if you don't have contqctless as, buying singles is massively expensive.
Currently £3.10 for a zone 1-6 (High Barnet is in Z5) compared to a ticket from the machine at £5.90, that's NOT a return that's a single. So for 4 adults that's £47.60!
Under11s are free on the tube at all times so ling as accompanied you just take them through a manned barrier. 11-15 year old are normally free if they use an 11-15 oyster ID card but is a hassle to get just for one day, 75p per trip in zones 1-6 otherwise.
Pensioners free travel passes can be used on the red buses but not the tube.
You can park near places like Watford/Shenfield but by the time you get there you won't really save any time compared to parking at places like Stanmore.

| Try Wasp parking. We booked last year for £25. Literally a 5 minute walk from the stadium and the best thing was the exit was a shortcut off the main drag and we were on the M1 in 10 mins. Will go there again.
You print off receipt and it is security manned.
Ps we did stay til the end so the time out of carpark is when everybody is leaving.
