| Probably wont go down well but IMO hes the weak link in the FC side. Granted hes done some decent things whilst playing for us but in very small doses. To me hes not good enough for centre and not good enough to be a half back - hes back up only but that a silly luxury on an overseas player
We cant just rely on Sneyd to do the lot

| I don't think that you can judge him after just a few games at half back and no off season.
+You don't know what he has been instructed to do or not to do at this stage.
From what I have seen of him, I will not be disappointed or concerned if he is our six for next year

I've got to agree I think they are giving him game time there this season to help him grow into it next year with a full pre season in that position I think he will be another level again I think also he offers as much as Leon this year if not a touch more, but I would be disappointed if Leon is playing he will be fresh and with a point to prove, ant news on our injuries

| Just starts to look good then gets injured, these injuries are more a concern than his ability, he has shown some good touches and a run at 6 and pre season will help him massively. Unlikely we are signing a 6 now, so we need to get behind him and give him a chance.

I agree with that.
He's got the skill set to be a good stand off to Sneyd. I imagine he spent last off season training to be centre in the main, so maybe judge him at half back next year.

| I don't quite understand why a player who is by trade a stand-off, needs a pre-season and plenty of games to show his true potential in that position.
He's already started/finished around 10 games this season at number 6, and there has been over 5 months "training" time since pre-season ended.

Thats a good point but you should have gone further and added that he hasnt cut it at 6 and fades out of the game which is the main criticism of Pryce.
The club needs to re think signing a 6 for next season if Connor isnt coming and play Carlos in his best position at left centre.

Can you name a halfback in the league that doesn't fade out of game, even players like Sandow and Gale do it, it's usually when their forwards are losing the battle.
I still don't think he has had enough of a run there, he may have played a few games there, but can't have played more than 2/3 games on the trot and has left the field early on 3 occasions.
It's ok saying don't sign Connor and signs 6, buts easier said than done.
Who is available and wants to come?
Do we have enough salary cap space to sign a halfback better than we have?

Very few half backs have dominated in Super League this year.
Like you say, good players like Sandow, Gidley and Gale often drift in and out of games depending on how their forwards are doing.
Carlos may or may not be the answer, but it's hard to judge on the limited game time he's played at half back.
Wigan, in my opinion, have poor half backs but they are still very strong and difficult to beat. Would anyone swap Carlos for Williams?. Not me.

So would I.
I'm yet to be convinced Carlos is the answer at six. That's not to say he's been particularly poor there, or that he won't come good, just that I don't feel he's shown enough yet to prove he's the six we need.
As some have pointed out, the nature of the sport means that halfbacks will drift in and out of matches due to the ebb & flow of a game - sides with momentum and on top of the opposition will allow a half to shine. If you're playing chunks of a game in your own 30/40m, you'll rarely use the half & they can [iappear[/i to go missing. I wouldn't hold this against him to be honest.

| Why not give Abdull another go. He's earnt the right, been MOM in the last 4 U23s games I think. We are very quick to drop these lads, both him and Logan were quickly discarded, Yeamo has rightly kept Logan out but now Carlos is injured, Pryce out of favour, we should play Abdull.
