Watts has been fantastic for us in the second half of the season particularly. There are some good choices in there, though. Perhaps more beneficial for us for him to have a full pre season here rather than risk injury under McNamara.

Is it shocking that no Hull FC player made the squad? I would say that Watts making the squad would have been touch and go, a nice surprise if it had happened. Not sure anyone else was likely?

He has had a hard season and played a lot of minutes and some games single handled leading the pack so I for one aren't bothered that he isn't playing as it will benefit us next season.As for the squad,what did people expect with Mc banana in charge,it's obvious golden balls will play FB and hardacker either left out or shunted to centre and picking Matty Smith is the biggest joke going.
