I didn't want tom to go and still gutted he is, but his defence is shocking at times and gets pulled in far to easy, also bombed a try tonight, didn't matter but hes got a habit of doing it,a deadly finisher but wires gonna have to work on his defence

Pearson mentioned tonight that 'in hindsight' we should have tried harder to keep him. Apparently we were worried about his injury record so when a decent offer came in we took it. Very disappointing, defensive issues notwithstanding.

He does make plenty of bad reads and he has to trust his centre more. Don't agree that he bombed a try though. Farrell positioned himself really well so that the pass wasn't really on. The other option he had was to kick back inside, but it's very hard to do when running flat out.

Talanoa gave him the ball far too early, he needed to commit a defender and that would have give lineham the space he needed.

Exactly or talanoa heads for the wing & TL comes in against the grain. But that's the difference with having a winger in the centre.

I'm not sure Talanoa had the pace to run far enough with the ball to draw Bowen in. I think his plan was let Lineham draw the full back in and support back on the inside, but the cover defence did really well.

You say that Wire will have to work with him, but I'm afraid that's the difference between the two clubs, they pay a lot of money for a potential superstar and will put the time and effort in to make that happen, Hull drop him and sell him. Solid players are more Hull's bag under this regime.

Wire have had one bad season, already signed a young English winger who is likely to top the try scoring charts, and a player in Sandow who will absolutely tear up SL, not too mention getting rid of poor performers. Hull will keep the players that have kept us average for the past 4 years.

The decision to sell Lineham had nothing to do with any perceived lack of solidity. If anything I'd have preferred that to be the case.

I'm sure our caching staff have been working on Lineham's defence, particularly since Lineham himself admits it's a failing. Maybe Wire's coaches will have better luck.

Spot on, Warrington have moved quickly to address their problems, have cut their losses on the expensive Myler after years of just being average and even in a poor season sit 80mins from Wembley.

Not really, they are replacing Monaghan with Lineham and have spent a year replacing Briers.

Absolutely he bombed a try! Why on earth did he run straight at Bowen? A simple in and out would have seen him in the corner with ease, absolutely stupid decision to run straight at a SOO FB who easily nailed him.
As for his defence for there first two tries, the ease with which Burgess got round him was embarrassing.

I agree with that.Radford goes for the big solid player at the expense of pace and flair.
