Now first 80 minutes out the way, has it changed people's opinions?. Nothing brilliant but done the basics right, very few stupid penalties and played as a team. Very impressed myself, and its looking greener. Rosey season?..... I hope so

Massive confidence boost in my opinion, big uplift in the teams effort and aggression and pleasing to see we saw the game out and nilled Huddersfield.

Kicking game could have been better, but if we play with that level of effort we'll win more than we lose this year.

All we can say is that it's that kind of strength, resolve, intensity and dare I say it 'game management' that wins games. The team has to do it on a consistent basis in order to achieve. That said going to Huddersfield - renowned good starters who score a fair few points - and blitzing them off the park is very encouraging. In the same way it's a joke that the perennial moaners seize on the negatives it would be daft to claim we're going to be world beaters after one excellent win. It's certainly the very best we could have hoped for at half 5 on Feb 8th though so onwards and upwards.

An encouraging start but not going to get carried away just yet.

Pleasing to see some issues we've had in recent seasons showing early signs of improvement.

16 minutes left, 18-0 up. Drop goal. Hopefully that sort of common sense, which has frankly been absent since 2007, will continue and help get us over the line in tight games. Wakey won today. There really are no easy games. A very pleasing start to nil the opposition away though. Really good defence.

Quite difficult not to though.

Fantastic defensive effort for the full 80 which is a vast and very welcome improvement. Nilling a side like Hudds is no mean feat either. The fact they looked pretty ordinary is credit to our team.

We have a half back pairing. Sneyd did well and will only get better, and Pryce was great, organising and managing us.

Game management at last. Dropping the goal was a brilliant tactic at that point. Pushed the margin to 4 scores and finished the game.

Delighted to see all that and hope it continues. We might still lose games but if we play like that we won't be far off. Great to see the players congratulating each other for their defence again. And Mini is going to be brilliant too, getting the crowd going in the second half

I cannot remember when we have ever taken that option. It was good to see.

As has been said by most, it's early.

We have had in the last couple of years some good players and coaches, but attitude has always been an issue. That nil in the scoreline is the biggest indication that attitude could be changing.

Thought Mini was quietly efficient, not MOM though. Think that was from Watts, Ellis, Pryce, Shaul or Sneyd.

My personal choice would be Pryce, but Watts had an impact to his runs I've never seen from him before.

Anyone who watched the Derby and didn't become blinkered by the final score shouldn't have been surprised by this result.

In the first half, with our best 13 on the park, we were as dominant as I have seen us for a long time. Seems like that intensity was carried into today.

A lot of positives today and no real negatives. We have cause for cautious optimism and should be very happy tonight but lets not get carried away.
