I actually thought keating did ok, problem is there are no dummy runners, no back up and no structure, thurston would look gash with that around him.

I'm not suggesting Rankin is anything special, just remembering your criticism of his signing with reference to Keating, who has turned out (as many said he would) as just as ordinary (at best) but probably a good chunk more expensive.
The best thing Rovers could do with him next year IMO is to use him as Hodgson's replacement and try find another half (or two). |
