How will it differ from Hullfc.com?

The Facebook page itself has almost grown to 5,000 followers now, and over the past couple of years have expanded by running events and match day commentaries, and more recently we're now running an away day coach and have launched some merchandise.

With that in mind, keeping everyone informed from just the Facebook account alone has become quite difficult because of the amount of projects we have running, so we went with the idea of launching a new website for 2014. From here we can branch everything off and between us, can manage everything a lot easier.

We've also just recruited a new journalist who also works full time at the club and has a radio slot on 106.9 WHCR FM who will be helping to run the site, and set up exclusive interviews, so thought we may as well include all the fixtures, results etc too! So keep your eyes peeled.

What a brilliant development this is for all the fans of Hull FC have a look at it, its very impressive. Apparently, due to the overwhelming amount of traffic it was so popular last night it temporarily overwhelmed the server. Well done to all concerned! Big sports Clubs have a selection of these independent sites and personally I think that they create an important network which is great for us fans in good times and important in bad ones; this one looks really good.

Had a look and it's a great site, some good features on there that you don't get the official site.

I presume this is nothing official to do with the club and run by fans?

The website is completely separate to the club and is been run by 4 of us at present.

And yes, we did go down in the late hours of last night, and because of which are currently upgrading our hosting package to ensure this doesn't happen again.

seems to me that this is the ideal home for The Dentists Diary.............?

I came across the Dentists Diary and they're brilliant reads, and I remember a while back blackandwhites.co.uk was a very busy site, but now nothing really seems to be happening on their unfortunately.

We anticipate we'll be getting 1,000's of visitors a week to the site, so it may be an option depending on this board coming to an agreement.

I'm an avid follower of TMBAW via their Facebook and Twitter newsfeeds. The site is impressive and I will be a daily reader. I'm also looking forward to the forum via their site. I'm sure it will be as friendly and as full of banter as this one. Keep up the good work guys.

The site may have been down for a few hours this afternoon and that's down to switching hosts, but everything should be up and running again within the next 10 minutes or so.

We have discussed the possibility, but at this stage, we want to get into a routine of running the website on a daily basis first, with news, updates, etc so perhaps in a couple of months.
