| Would he have made the line if he'd just run straight instead of running across to charnley's wing? Would have changed the game at the time

| Possibly a lack of experience.
A great shame as it would've put us right back in it aside from the fact that it would've been one of the best cup final tries ever.

| if he'd just straightened up he'd have been caught anyway, watch it again, had Wigan players around him. The question we should be asking was where was the backing up?

Players chasing him were green and o'loughlin I think so would have been surprised if either had caught him. Having said that I think either fatigue or nerves got to him as he looked slower than he has when making breaks in the other games he's played

| cant blame the kid, he just pinned his ears back and went for it, shame the wing he went to is one of the fastest in the league, been interesting if it had been lineham

| Disappointing that their winger managed to chase him but neither of ours did

Shaul has good acceleration but isn't a real flyer. They wouldn't have got near Lineham.

| I think some here seem to forget what a big difference it is to run without a ball compared to one whom is being chased and is trying to make decisions which way to go and probably looking back (which also slows you down). For sure he should have just gone for the shortest line and taken the tackle if need be.
That's expereince though.

| we should have had a penalty for off side when charley knocked the ball out of Shauls hands
the wigan player was in an offside position when he picked it up
worst case scrum as it was knocked towards the hull line

Spot on, called this at the time. O'Loughlin is clearly in an offside position when he collects the ball, ie closer to our line than Charnley is when he knocks down the ball. Credit to O'Loughlin though as his chase back forces Shaul into the range of Charnley.

| We all like to talk about this that and the other after, and there’s nowt wrong in that, and I think Hull defended like Trojans for most of the game as we did, but when all’s said and done I do think the best side on the day won. I think you may get some sort of revenge next game up though. Aftermath!
