I know Pearson said our recruitment was just about done but when a player like whitehead becomes available we should be showing an interest at least. With Tickle, Galea, Briscoe and O'Meley leaving we shouldn't be short of a few quid and judging by his comments we could be a very attractive proposition for him.

Get him in and leave Galea out

With Tickle and Galea leaving he would be an ideal replacement.

I'd say no, simply because I don't think he's very good, and that Bradford's probably his level.

He's missed more tackles than anyone else in the league this season, and is giving away an average of a penalty a game.

and with tickle, and galea going at the end of the year, this could be a "come and get me" plea from a man i have no doubt was singled out before for a transfer!!
although salford are offering big bucks, it wouldnt suprise me if its a done deal for him to go there

Surely there's no way on earth you'd put in a transfer request without being in contact with a new club. Hopefully it's us.

Depends if Gentle thinks he could sort out those aspects of his game. If he could then he'd probably be a decent signing for you as his attacking game is good. That said Whitehead's had issues with defence under McNamara, Potter and Cummins so not sure how much is an attitude thing with him.

id honestly say, looking at a mid season transfer, then its either us or salford... .....end of season, thats another issue, leeds could be sniffing around same as wigan as tuson is leaving for the wildcats!!

2 Not very good coaches (IMHO of course) and Cummins in the early stages of his career so still plenty of time for any deficiencies in his game to be ironed out. 23 for a forward is still pretty young...

If you do sign him don't expect miracles.
