At the moment it's not having a huge affect on games, but does any one else feel with holdsworth poor form from the kicking tee that the responsibility of goal kicking should be passed on to Ben Crooks. From whatever seen he is a very good kicker.

And I am in no way knocking DJ he is in outstanding form but for some reason is struggling with some kicks that he should really be knocking over.

Holds having couple of bad week's. Missed one v rovers n 2 the other night. Other than that over last few seasons been around 80% mark. Shouldn't worry to much. Belted 6 out of 6 v Wigan wasn't it?
Crooks in 20s games last yr was poor with the boot where previously had been good.

Is miller a goal kicking not seen much of him? Not sure if tickle will get back in the team at the min unless he is used throu the middle as we are a little short of props.

Whilst Tickle would be the obvious choice, the fact that he will be leaving at the end of the season means we have to have a replacement ready for then. I'm sure PG will be addressing this "problem", if indeed that's what it is. All kickers have off days and looking at DJ's record this looks like its just a bad spell he's having.

I've always thought our current posts were too short and they were brought into doubt on Friday night with one of Holdsworth's kicks. Thankfully it didn't affect the final result.

I remember at The Boulevard they changed the posts to accomodate Sammy Lloyd's higher kicks. I know the heightof the posst at the KC may be limited due to the need for taking the posts down after games to accomodate the rugby/football match switch, but surely they can find some slightly taller posts to ensure any questionable kick is awarded correctly.

After all I'm sure we wouldn't want to win a game in the last minute, (for example v Rovers) with the dubious award of a goal that wasn't.....

Holdsworth missed that game & we missed 2 possibly 3 kicks then as well.
Holdsworth's misses were pretty poor for a pro kicker especially as we weren't under any pressure score wise, if he can't get those types of kicks then in the run up to the end of season and in a clutch situation I wouldn't be feeling anything like as confident if it was Tickle taking them..
We really need to establish who is going to be doing the GK duties for next season, don't know if Miller kicks but in all honesty I'd rather have someone other than Holdsworth, nothing personal mind.

There's enough responsibility on Holdsworth's shoulders as it is. If we can find someone else to kick, it would be a good thing, imho. Give DJ a rest and chance to talk to the team between tries.
