Just watched the highlights again & I can't see why O'Meley should be facing a ban, didn't see him throw any punches. If anybody should be worried though it should be Carney, what a tit he is.

O'Meley can't enter an early plea anyway, so he's got to appear. If I was representing the club I'd turn up tomorrow night and simply ask them to explain where, on the video evidence, has O'Meley committed any offence. The response should be interesting.

Four players have been charged with punching by the RFL during Friday's Super League game between Hull and Castleford.
Hull's Mark O'Meley and Danny Tickle and Castleford pair Justin Carney and Weller Hauraki were all involved in an ugly fracas during the second half of the Airlie Bird's comprehensive 52-0 win at the KC Stadium.
Referee Steve Ganson sent off Tickle and Hauraki and sin-binned Carney and O'Meley, and all four could now face further punishment.
Hauraki, Carney and Tickle have until 11am on Tuesday to submit early guilty pleas, while O'Meley will appear before an RFL Disciplinary Committee later that evening. |
