indeed, and by some considerable distance, Briscoe is good, but he isn't that good (personally, I don't get the hype, he is hit and miss)

I hope he acquires a taste for "backside on a plate" because I believe most NRL wingers and centres will give him just that, most weeks.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Agree 100% and would say Raynor was better as well.

| If he continues to play here for a few more years and produces the same amount of highlights he would be definitely.

Hope he goes to the NRL. This kind of thinking is just deluded, the NRL isn't that much of a higher level above Super League. Similarly to Super League, there's not many wingers or players in Australia who will be able to contain Briscoe's explosiveness that his game is built upon. People said the same things about James Graham and the Burgess brothers; Briscoe would follow that trend of quality English players adding extra excitement into the NRL.

As I said: people said the same things about James Graham and the Burgess brothers.
Graham is now considered one of best props in the NRL and reached a grand final in his first year nearly playing near 70 minutes a game. Briscoe will follow suit. Not saying he'll achieve as much as quickly, but the case will be far from "backside on a plate".

well, we shall see, maybe.
But I was referring more to your comment that the NRL isn't that much better, it's streets ahead of SL.

It is, it's much better. It's just annoying when people overestimate the gap. It's not a league full of super-humans. I'll concede that Briscoe may be out of depth in an Origin game, but he'll slot right in in the NRL.
Also, I remember watching Best in the 2003/04 seasons and he never scored the individual tries, demonstrated the elusive running qualities that Briscoe has, or ever pulled off a tackle akin to the one in the corner against Fox in the dying seconds of a game. Best had one of our best EVER centres alongside him in Richie Barnett Snr putting things on a plate for him.

I disagree, totally, but that's what this place is about.
I hope Briscoe has a great season for FC, if he moves on after that, good luck to him, but I wont care if he succeeds or fails.

| TB is the best defensively IMO, and will get even better.
Raynor on fire was the best attacking in my opinion, but all round Best takes some beating.
Having said that in 5 years when TB comes back to FC from Oz, he will be better than all 3 put together.
And he will come back as surely FC can negotiate first refusal? Or maybe not if his contract ends? I would like to think TB might do that for us either way?
To many questions for a first post I've confused myself.....
