Just been told Alf maklin is seriously ill in hospital does anyone know if this is true or false??
aparently in castle hill extremely poorly..

Yes it's true. Alf is in castle Hill, has kidney and blood problems. Hope he gets better soon.

| Had the following via PM from a KR fan who's banned from here:
Quote: Bertie "He has been very ill the past 3/4 days but is hopefully on the mend. They thought his kidneys were packing in and he has been on the high dependency ward in Anlaby road hospital. Last night transferred to Castle Hill, they have found he had a severe kidney infection which has led to blood poisoning. His wife Lynne says he is still ill and sleeping a lot but is "out of the woods" even though he won't be home until after Christmas at the earliest and possibly even new year.
I worked with Alf for and his wife for over 30 years and still keep in contact now. Nice fella off the field ( but still a black and white barsteward on it ![]()

By all accounts he is much stronger today and in good spirits but still very ill indeed, will be there some time by all accounts.
I do hope he recovers as he was and is still a great FC face and legend

He used to play for Drake on bransholme. He was not only a great rugby player but one hell of a darts player too. Get well soon Alf.

Have spoke to Lynne today and the good news is that Alf is home. 
He has had a real rough few days but seems to be on the mend.
Lynne contacted me to get on here and thank you all for your best wishes ,specially at this time of year.
Alf is a stubborn bugger at the best of times and this was never going to get him down 
Lynne said hes obviously tired but on the up.
They have asked me to get the names of who posted so that if and when hes sees any of you he will thank you personally but as we all know our names are a guarded secret....especially on here lol but if you would pm me guys and gals i will make sure he at least gets your names ...even if he dont know you by sight ok
So all is well in Super Alf world.. |
