| Out of interest does RH have a place in anyone's starting 17 next year?
For me no, the only reason I can see him starting is if we don't get a full back.
He has been a great servant to the club but I think his best is behind him unfortunately.
Would be a shame for him to be pushed down the pecking order and go our with a whimper.

No, if he does, then our recruitment has failed.

| I see him as our fullback. The only fullback we've been linked to is McDonnell and I rate Horne higher than him in that position.

| I'd say no, but that is purely due to his injury record. In fairness his last few performances have been very good, I just don't think he'll be fit enough to be first choice all season.

| agree with last post although he may well surprise us all!!
Horne has had some serious injuries that any sportsman would find hard to come back from but come back he has AND recently has been doing very well and looked a natural FB , he joins the line well, still has decent pace and is fearless in the tackle, could be a new life line for him at FB
will he last all season???? maybe not

Horney has some very good attributes that suit the fullback role. However natural full backs don't stand still and watch a ball bounce like he does.

| Well if Seymours move to London comes off and our targets don't, he could be in the halves again next year.

you're referring to the high ball brough put in last weekend i guess?
that kick would have confused a few fullbacks as it was one of the only decent kicks brough put in that night

you think mcdonnell would have played better on sunday? I dont. Got to credit the kick too. Close to M.o.M for me. Good hands coming into the line, backing up, sniffed out Huddersfields short kicking too

Look I've already said Horney has many good attributes but IMO he, especially when under pressure doesn't have the natural instincts that a top full back has. He can be very hesitant when dealing with all types of kicks. There was a chip over against Huddersfield that if it wasn't for Foster covering could well have resulted in a score. I would prefer us to get a specialist fb and use Horney as cover.

| He's been great there and even at his age will only improve. Anyone would have struggled under Broughs bomb. You could pick out 1 poor moment for every player in that game.
Surely the issue is - who is there that's better? McDonnell? Worth a quota spot? What have people seen in him to think he's a better option than Horne. FB isn't a problem area for us, a top half back and maybe a strike centre are.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Whoa facts aren't welcome around here!
If we sign a FB and half I see Horne challenging for the fb spot but filling in at centre and 6.

| He's been injury free for a few games now and I think he's playing well. Like Panda I rate him at least as highly as McDonnell. He's versatile could fit in right across the three-quarters or the halves. Not as quick as he used to be but he reads a game well, joins the line well too, great hands, still a superb defender, and reliable under the high ball
I'd be happy keeping Rich for one more swansong season. What a servant to Hull FC. Immense.

| I've been impressed with him at FB. Wouldn't be too disappointed with him there next season, so long as our other new half is quality. Would prefer a specialist FB though, Horney would provide good competition for the 1/6 spots.
