After every season I am left with thoughts of what might have been. I look back at the good bits but can't help returning to the thought, where did it all go wrong - again. On paper we should have been up there with the best, but again, on grass, we didn't do the business. And usually there are the darksiders crowing about finishing higher than us.
As a new season approaches I am excited. There are new players, a confident feel to the team, and an expectation that this will be our season. I can't wait for the 1st game and getting off the mark.

Supporting Hull FC is a frustrating task. Sometimes it seems that if only the players had the passion that the supporters have we would walk it.
I read how some will not renew passes or go to another game. I even read of a couple of "fans" that claimed they were going to switch sides. I support my team good or bad, win or lose, they are my team.
This season, as with every other, I am looking forward to winning something, especially at wembley so that we can cut their song repatoire by 50%. But if not, they are still my team.

You and thousands of fans from 13 other teams look forward to this, sadly we had an injury crisis at the point of the campaign. However we have done a lot better than most would have anticipated at this point of the season, we are definitely heading in the right direction and most fans now look forward to game day and more importantly most fans understand Rome was not built in a day and realistically it may be a couple of years before we can mount a serious threat, any-thing we get before that is a bonus imo. Being an FC fan at the moment is the best it has been for several years.

In all honesty, that sinking feel is creeping back the more I hear about players leaving, wouldnt mind a few ridiculous rumours to lift the mood, where's black and white these days

Some serious rebuilding after the mess Agar left the club in......... No bringing the youth into the squad........ Bad signings........Bad team selections..........it's going to take at least a millennium to put things right.....and so on and so on the canteens vending machine not filled up on time....etc etc Agars fault......... Nothing about this season feels familiar to the last half decade of despair, no. Why would it, the whole rotten underpinning has been swept away and we know solid foundations are under construction? Eggs will be broken to make the omlette and it'll take a couple if years to perfect, but Gentle's scambling together in the meantime is a much tastier offering already.

I am glad all three are out the club to be fair. AP is the future..he has the midas touch i think...maybe not instantly, but eventually.
