He would obviously be a fantastic signing but I would worry about not being able to fill the holes in our squad with what was left. Stand off, right centre and one or two or props should be a massive priority.

Maybe Tickle to the front row for one?.

| He'd be a great signing but not really the priority position atm. We need to sign 1 or 2 props and a centre above all else.
I imagine that he'll end up with Huddersfield.

| I'd rather the club 'signalled their intent' by signing a quality centre and stand off.

| He's nailed on for Leeds.
His missus is from Leeds, they have a house in wetherby, obvious connections with the rhinos from his previous time there and they need to replace their captain peacock with a similar figure.
I'd love him to sign for hull but see this more as a signal of intent than a realistic option. Keeping everything crossed though!

Yes, probably a good option but we might need to replace Moa and O'Meley as well. A SO and a centre are real priorities for next season though and quality/expensive ones at that. Surely the potential signing of Ellis would leave us with virtually nothing left.

Hopefully Adam will let Ellis and his agent use and abuse us to get an inflated contract out the Rhinos.

What would be the point of that?

And probably two or three props. I'd worry about us signing Ellis from a salary cap point of view. If he'll demand as much as people seem to think, it could leave us rather unbalanced. In all honesty, I would be happier with someone like Whitehead - not quite as good, but a lot cheaper and a lot younger.

I'm leaning more towards that way of thinking if we can get the right sort of players for the positions in which we have greater need, too.

| Ellis is world class and would be a sensational signing for a number of reasons. It would be a real signal of intent.
I hear what people are saying about strengthening other positions but it goes without saying that Ellis would improve us and it's great to hear we are amongst the front runners for his signature.
Not getting my hopes up, mind
