| I remember THAT game at Castleford when everyone got sent off and the scumbag Castleford player nearly ended Pearce's career.

Yeah, submarined him on the knees. I remember being livid about it on the terraces.
Great player Porky Pearce, what a step.

I remember the FCfans trying to kick seven bells out of the winger on the next kick off, it all went crazy!

| Didn't he cost us a win at Post Office Road?
IIRC it was his debut and we had an opportunity to take the points with the last kick of the match. He teed the ball up and as he approached for the kick it fell off its tee and Pearce attempted to kick it off the floor and missed. Nobody had bothered telling him that, unlike union, you can re-tee a ball if you've started your run up.
I still reckon his best moment was that win over Wigan at the Boulevard. We were losing and they were awarded a penalty on the half-way line. Lydon attempted a kick at goal that fell short, Pearce started running (as fast as he could manage anyway), the ball back and the whole of the Wigan team just seemed to stop and watch him. They were probably expecting him to fag out before he got too far but IIRC it ended with Kevin James going in at the corner and Pearce kicking the conversion for the win.

Thought it was Paul McCaffery (sp?) that scored that ? Happy days.
