"Taking place from 7pm on Wednesday, January 18, the forum will be held in the week building up to the first pre-season friendlies of 2012 and will be attended by 400 fans.
Meanwhile, the club were keen to ensure those unable to attend could still keep up-to-date with every minute of the action. After exploring a variety of opportunities during discussions with several media partners, it has been decided the best way to do this will be through a ground-breaking plan that will see the Black and Whites once again pave the way for Super League.
Following on from the unveiling of new head coach Peter Gentle on FC.TV and a revolutionary idea for a new match day experience at the KC Stadium that will soon be revealed to supporters, the fans forum will be streamed live via www.hullfc.com. "
Brilliant for me, this, on a few points:
1) Streamed live - is this with pictures as well? Hopefully so if Lynch is one of the players.
2) No Gwilym Lloyd. Given his disgraceful effort (not my words, those of a Huddersfield fan) on 5 Live and his relentless ranting on RH this week about it, best all round - can't imagine he'd get a warm reception. Best stick to the Harry Poole bar, singing the Red, Red Robin.
3) Pearson, Gentle and 2 players.
Good timing too. Well done to the club and FC Voices.

| Slightly o/t but I think the dobbins are going to be putting full matches on their website to view at a small cost for the season (Haven't really seen the details, just saw a thread about it). Hopefully we'll do the same

They are, but it's down to their sponsor, I think?

Point being it's been suggested they're underwriting some of the cost as part of sponsorship, hence the low price. They don't sponsor us, therefore it would be more expensive if we did it. Personally I'd pay about £100 for it.

If my missus was an accountant then I'd probably pay £100 for it. As it is I'd stand around £30ish

On the Gwilym Lloyd note, he didn't even stay at the recent fans forum for the first 400 pass holders, he asked somebody else to fill him in on what was said as he left early.

Not surprising. His role on Sportstalk is to agitate and goad fans into debate. This is fine in itself, but the fact is that he never applies this approach to Rovers.
The clearest examples of this is his approach to the Willie Mason fallout and Ben Cockayne stories vs those of Luke Briscoe and Gleeson.
Things that he has screeched about FC on our stories are "I would be apoplectic with rage if I were an FC fan" about Luke Briscoe and "What on earth must FC's management have been thinking?" Then he uses his 2 minutes of fame on 5 Live to launch an offensive against the club on national radio as well. Borderline hysteria.
On Mason and Cockayne, he was far more measured. Did he ever screech that about Rovers being the laughing stock of the competiton and inviting extended commentary and feedback ages afterwards? Er, no. Despite this, Rovers were recipients of farce/embarrassment of the year for the Mason saga in more than one RL publication's 2011 "awards".
It's not the shambolic "shock jock" approach that I object to - it's the fact he only applies this approach to FC. I expect Chris Park to be biased, and similarly Craig Murdock. But he is RL editor. Inappropriate for someone with obvious allegiances to be in a role requiring impartiality IMO.

I whole heartedly agree with all of that.

That why Humbersides still banned then, thought that might have ended with the Rule gone?

Well, Pearson did quite a long interview with David Burns before City's last game earlier this week about the transfer window and targets etc; afterwards Burns said how good and open Pearson was to interview. Perhaps he's OK with the football side of RH, just not the RL element.
