| I would like to pass on my thanks for the years of hard work to the retiring board, I know at times myself and others have not had a totally friendly relationship with one or two of them. We have so much to be great full for since those dark days way back in we nearly went out of existence, Richo and Kath where part of the Gateshead Thunder set up that came down south to Hull to link up with the Weatherall's to form a new board. Bomber brought us hope and laid the foundations for our later success, Trish brought the club to life with sponsorship deals which have been overshadowed since but back then they where groundbreaking.
Things have not always been rosy and faults lie on both sides, but I do think we all had a grudging admiration towards each other if nothing else. The Gateshead link is now finally severed and we move on, with some regrets and many memories of a challenge cup win just a a few short years after near oblivion. We have not always bee faithful at times with a few instances of fans being idiots, the infamous McApline semi they could have walked away, but they kept faith. We have become, in my opinion a better club because of that incident we no longer stand by as so called fans drag all our names down. The board working with HISA and others made this club more the family club it is today, like it or not visiting the KC is a far better experience for every one then the Boulevard was towards the end.
Thanks for everything

We may not have had a club if it wasn't for them.

Quite an ironic post Ian considering the amount of times you came on here and told us you were not going and now favour going to Cas
The board did well, just overstayed 2/3 years more than they should have imo...though I am sure they got more than there initial investment back.

Indeed. We should be thankful for the job they did to sort out the club's finances.
It was clearly time for a change though. Time for the club to move onwards and hopefully upwards.

| Interesting to read in the wail today that jack weatherill wanted to stay on but his wife wouldn't let him. Having met all of the owners at one time or another, the weatherills were the ones I felt actually had the most heart for the club

| Want to thank someone ? Shane Richardson simples. He badgered the Council to buy the Boulevard and clear up the total fiasco which could have dragged us down. Roy Waudby 100% as well.
Richo was the driving force and when he lwft we started our slide as Bomber needed Richo to keep him on his toes. Richo was a tyrant and nobody messed with him. Wish he had stayed until KC move happened.
Present board are 100% to blame for Agar and thus the last 4 years. They should hold heads in shame as they refused to invest and still milkin the cash cow

| The retiring board only came to Hull FC for one reason, to save their failed investment in Gateshead, no other reason, so forgive me for not sharing your sentiments Ian.

Penny dropped - seems good at getting clubs to position but can't sustain - same as previous incumbents then?
