The Club`s recruitment policy should now be looking at our right hand side attack.
With the loss of Gleeson and the failure of Sharp or Lyne to look anywhere near ready we look very weak.
Turner and Whiting are not the answer either for a Club with any ambition.
Gleeson is class but I feel he will never play for us again. He was the reason we were getting away with playing Whiting on the wing . That move is close to David Waite`s descision to play Horne on the wing for GB!

The Gleeson situation is a concern, as is our right hand side. Surely Agar will realise this as much as us and be looking to strengthen this area. Despite all his failings his recruitment, identifying what we need and going out and getting it,IMO, has been one of his strengths. Albeit after the season had started this year and with an element of luck.

Saying that though, our right and side has been an issue for a while, throughout Agars reign and yet it still hinders out progress....

We definately miss Gleeson, what side wouldn't - but over the last 3 or 4 games I think Turner has benefitted from getting an extended run in the same position - majority of the time with the same winger - rather than being shofted about or dropped. I think the problem with our right side is inside them - The right hand side half. I would like to see Seymour organising that side with Westerman outside him.

If you watch back Leeds first try you can see Turner telling everyone to slide and gesturing with his hand but Obst and Whiting paid no attention.

The same problem has never been solved for many years.

Blacklock,Sing and now Sharp, have been slated ,
the system needs to change - not the players.

Telling people to slide is all right if your actually doing that yourself, Turner does more pointing than tackling at times, even when there's two against two. Get in and tackle and stop fecking pointing.

And having Obst/Long defending in the centre position for me creates more problems in defence than it's worth; a centre and a winger need to get an understanding *See Yeaman and Briscoe* both in attack [iand[/i defence. I know it's to "protect" the halfback from tackling, but if the halves are going to be targeted this is still going to happen, albeit a little bit wider out.

Turner does slide a lot the problem is Obst/Whiting not having confidence in him to make the tackle so they get attracted to the ball and leave a simple overlap.

Bit harsh to single out Turner, yes he played well against them 3 teams & crap against Leeds, but the full team was rubbish on Friday. I'd leave him there till the end of the season, what harm can it do since our league seasons just about over anyway. Constantly changing his position will do nothing for him at all.

Just dont rate him at all....not a very good signing and we play him centre when he was playing 13 for Salford.....if our season is just about over...why dont we play Crooks then out of the u-20@s

How the hell can anyone miss Gleeson? We should never have signed him and ive said this since there was a possibility of it. He had one good game then a few hit n miss then gone.

Anyway thats by the by as its the whole structure of the team that leaves us poor on the right side. You could swap Manu, Yeaman and Briscoe to that side and it would still be the same. icon_rolleyes.gif

Crooks isn't ready and turner did play at centre a bit for salford . I think turner has done well in the games he's played
